Indeed but will it be his decision or the university's? That honeymoon ish is over. If he can't get them to at least 500 wtf is he there for. I mean no fanbase likes their team losing. I can't see him going to any other large school because how he moves. He has thrown a lot of coaches under the business. He has done a lot of young men dirty. **** the man says to recruit come see me I'm like wtf you need them you need to go see them.

It's also a fairly old team:

  • 3 years experience: 15 players
  • 2 years experience: 19 players
  • 1 years experience: 17 players
  • Incoming freshmen: 11 players

Miami by comparison:
  • 8 years experience: 1 player
  • 5 years experience: 6 players
  • 4 years experience: 10 players
  • 3 years experience: 9 players
  • 2 years experience: 12 players
  • 1 years experience: 20 players
  • Incoming freshmen: 27 players

I also see a lot of Johnny Manziel in Shedeur's play. Lots of throwing it up to the dominant receiver who bails him out. That doesn't work in the NFL.
 
There is no way he is sticking around. He has basically decided he’s not recruiting. He may not be the brightest bulb in the room, but he knows he can’t have long term success without recruiting high school recruits. So I think he has just mailed it in. Even if he started trying now he could not land a top 30 class. It’s too late.

That sht is a fireable offense. Transfer portal or not that sht is lazy and completely disrespectful to the parents and the kids themselves. And the reason he only has 6 kids as incoming freshman.

The AD is an idiot.

He's already keying his exit. Media is unfair to his players.. unfair to him.. it's clear he's not gonna make it so his coaching acumen is gonna take a serious hit. He's gonna spend the rest of the year *****ing about how the media is unfair and out to get him. He's got a gold jacket, he doesn't need this ****.
Using the portal with massive turnover was supposed to be some genius quick fix. Winning football games takes a lot more work than cherry picking talent out of the portal. At this point in his life, does deon really want to put in the effort it takes to run a high level winning D1 program? Dude is clearly used to excelling and winning but in this case I think his ego wrote a check he's not gonna be able to cash.

It's Colorado they are going to suck anyways, he is bringing in money and exposure they won't want him to leave until he hurts their reputation. Deion will probably leave for another job whether in coaching or off.
 
Colorado sucks at pretty much every aspect of the game. They don’t do anything well. Once it starts to go south this season it’s going to be a train wreck even more than it already is. Going to be hilarious when both the Sanders boys come up with some bull**** injuries and sit out the last half of the season.

Prime is gonna get his boy seriously injured. If I'm not mistaken they sign five guys from high school this last cycle. How to do you only sign five guys outta high school. All his transfers are mostly guys who couldn't cut it where they were. Prime is a make a wish kid disguised as a coach.

Prime brings no schematic advantage or ideas also. He's just a celebrity at this point parlaying his celebrity into coaching abilities. With his 2 sons and Hunter...he gone when they gone. He FAFOd now. Sure year 1 was the media and former pro canes slurp fest, but now...it's a results oriented business, and he sucks ***!

Colorado is in for some LEAN years if he leaves.

Close. He had 15 o linemen and 13 wide receivers. And eight running backs last year, which is really high.

7 of those 13 wide receivers were true freshmen last year.

I also think he’s one of the better quarterbacks in college but there’s a lot of red flags. First you’re going to have to deal with Deion. There’s a 0% chance he’s still coaching at Colorado after this year. There’s a 100% chance he’ll be demanding a coaching position with whoever drafts Shadeur.

Secondly, I’ve never seen a college quarterback so obviously obsessed with padding his own stats even to the detriment of his team. He’ll hold the ball for 5 seconds, take a sack and blame the line before he throws the ball away and drops his completion percentage. The audible to a pass play at the end of the NDSU game when just running or taking a knee would have ended the game was probably the most selfish quarterback move I’ve ever seen. He was willing to let his team lose the game just to get one more chance to pad his numbers.
 
I typically agree with the general board consensus on things. But this is one I am going against the grain. I think he will be a massive waste of a 1st round pick. On top of not thinking he is elite at anything you also will likely get the family drama and finger pointing when things go wrong. I also thought Caleb Williams would be a massive waste of a pick too.

So in 3-5 years I might be on freezing cold takes but I'm good with that.
