Collier decommits from Illinois

Collier with Brini gives us two physical , long cb's . Which is perfect for this system , by the time a wr gets off a jam the dL or blitz will be there. They also tackle well, and aren't afraid of contact.

Hopefully we can land those guys , Bandy with a juco and a transfer.

Man this dude plays hard, very Physical...

Didn't see his long speed get tested deep but he seems to like to hit so S or CB down the road.

Just an opinion. When I agree, I plus up. I disagree.

Not saying you guys in general but I saw opinions of Shawn change fast in here after it became clear he wasn't coming. Similar to Brini when he chose UGA a few months back.

Shawn is one of the best in state regardless of being at corner or safety. Everyone is entitled to their opinion though.
 
These are the types of guys we begged Golden to take year in and year out and not resort to Michael Jackson in Alabama (I think he'll be a solid player for us in the end) and Terrance Henley when you miss on everyone else. The issue is now that we need CB so bad that we NEED someone to play day 1 and I'm not quite sure that guy is Collier.

Had we taken a guy like this each of the last 4 years, they'd all be developed and we may have struck gold on a guy like Quincy Wilson, and have some nice depth to go with it. But, we passed and just missed on too many of these guys. That being said, he's a take. Time to break the trend of letting these guys leave.
 
He definitely a take.. played QB so he has the vision..long good speed... offer him already... and take 2 more DBs and shut it down

The bolded portion is something that's been happening as much as ever recently.

You mentioned how the board flipped on Davis & Brini when they went from being UM leans to SEC commits. No one here had a negative word to say about Henderson, but now most seem to be minimizing the impact of losing him. Wilson has been downplayed here all along because it was assumed he'd follow his brother to UF. And now some are back to liking Brini since he left UGA's class.

It's already happening with Surtain Jr. for the 2018 class since's he's viewed as an early LSU lean. Campbell is a freak of nature and we're viewed as one of his early favorites, but fans will turn on him next if he doesn't come.
 
Not sure on the numbers the staff wants at corner. Until Miami has symmetry at all positions, this is a kid you don't pass up. Not saying you immediately take a commitment, but this staff has to be able once other chips fall to be able to grab a hometown kid like this.

The previous staff would fail miserably at this or take a complete reach. Hoping Richt and company get to the point were they are cherry picking from DADE and BROWARD.

I've been consistent on Davis months ago . I never thought he was that good , never got the hype. I'm sure it's in one of his threads . I preferred Brini , even when it looked liked we had no chance and he was w Uga commit. I guess me liking Marco more than most of the local 17 guys wouldn't make sense . Since he's a Gator , but I do.

I'm the guy who called Tracy Howard overrated when he committed , and rustled jimmies on multiple cane sites. I liked M Alexander a lot more .

I judge on what I see , not if a guy is committed or not.

I wanted Brini and I assumed people were influenced by Pete's evaluation of Brini where he's not thrilled with him. Dude has length and would be good depth at our thinnest position by far. I'm glad we're in the thick of it for him.

Shawn Davis just seems average to me where I feel Collier may have more upside than him. I don't think Henderson is coming here. You get here it in Bandy's voice the way he tries to remain politically correct. Give me the following DB class and I'll be okay:

Collier
Brini
Bandy
Dallas (assuming the staff puts him there)

Golden more than ****ed up our depth at corner and receiver. Considerable understatement that's flat out killing our season right now.

He don't really need blazing speed he has long arms and he can turn and run, he can check WRs at the line and he's not stiff and if he gets beat by a step he could stick his arm out and make the play we need him and a juco corner and we good because 2018 is gonna be special.
