Collier decommits from Illinois

Not Henderson and he needs at least a year in the weight room.

Does Henderson even have film at CB or shown he can play that position ? Or are we just going on his 40 time ? I'm seriously asking

Kid clearly isn't ready to play year 1 and there are probably 7 kids were recruiting in 2018 that would jump him on the depth chart. Unless we can't close elsewhere i don't see it.

Besides that....how many borderline kids are we going to string along at southridge...jesus.

You speak of this being factual

Pretty sure people are just assuming he's Sam Shields 2.0...the Sam Shields that currently plays in the League.

He has elite speed which is a take in any situation and just get his position sorted out after he gets on campus. Would be a massive fvckup (especially if he goes to UFag) by the staff IMO. With that said, some kids just want to get out of town...hopefully he has a change of heart.

This is the problem, why do people think that depth is a bad thing...maybe he can play, maybe he ends being a serviceable backup, either way we are not at the point where we can get 4 stars or 5 stars to come and sit on the bench, those kids are going to be the 3 stars until the product on the field starts trending up and we start winning big games.

On a sidenote, how many times have these 3 star kids gone elsewhere and balled the fvck out...happens quite often. Kid is a take at this point unless something dramatically changes on the recruitment end of higher rated kids. We are starved as **** in the DB area.

I actually wanted him as a return guy and somewhere on offense. But he's set on being a gator so it doesn't matter.

Would loved to have seen him serve a sort of Percy Harvin role...APB/WR/Returner

Really imo it just depends what happends with Michael Jackson, Ryan Mayes, and Leroy Heneley. If all three of those kids stay then there it's less likely we end up with someone like Collier. With the kids in 18 consideration there needs to attrition before taking on project CB's.

Tall, long, doesn't look like a burner by any stretch but is talented. We could certainly do worse if we fail to land higher priorities.

Disappointing that we've whiffed on so many top CB targets, including two superior athletes that have decommitted in Henderson & Edwards, that we may resort to battling Paul Williams of all people for a DB in what should be the new staff's first-year bump. Alarming considering it's our most dire position of need aside from OL and there is plenty of early playing time to sell to premier CB recruits.

Why this kid reminds me of Richard Sherman I love Henderson pure speed but I'll take this kid.

I've been a Collier fan for a while. Long, tough, athletic and can run. He's not as fast as Henderson but I think he leaves college running 4.4. Here is his junior HL from Killian:
