College Football Playoff...

Don’t want any part of Alabama (Milroe) running the ball

Def don’t want them winning the $EC and getting the 2 seed

don’t want to have to play UGA in the Peach Bowl either

Penn State would be a very favorable matchup for Miami
This is the playoffs, at some point you have to man up and beat a bonafide real team & perhaps juggernaut. Otherwise do not apply

Unfortunately this team is full of flaws…so I’ll hope we get as favorable matchups that we can get so Miami can make a deep run

Alabama out of all the teams would worry me the most with Milroe at QB, hopefully we can avoid them until the National Title

I told someone in the game threads from Saturday that Alabama would jump us

I’m really hoping the players see the disrespect of these last couple of weeks. The psychology aspect of football is often overlooked but finally losing after weeks of being “just good enough” can bring the best in people when their backs are against the wall.

Getting disrespected and winning can be shrugged off easily but to take a L to such an inferior team can be a massive wake up call. (Before yall say, “oh well maybe close games against so and so should’ve been the wake up call”, barely winning is sometimes worse than losing because of that “oh we will climb out of this” mindset and now that’s GONE, we proved ourselves we are beatable and that’s very important for good teams experiencing newfound success)

Truthfully I think we come out sharp and I think Guidry cleans up our issues. We now see the offense will not always be able to bail us out while he figures it out and if this Bye week was put to good you he took a long look in the mirror about his philosophy and play calling.

The possibility of adding Alston/Brown can not be understated. Alston is a dynamic veteran who has been very very good for us especially with running QBs, Brown immediately becomes one of the most physical DBs we can put out there.

I know we have a history of collapsing after losses but right now we have EVERYTHING ahead of us. Our season is not over and the players know it. If Cam is the leader we think he is then we will come out Saturday and treat Wake like Bama treated Mercer.

I have a feeling we do just that.

If Miami doesn’t come out and beat the brakes off of awake then I don’t know what to tell you.
They’ve been slandered at every turn since the loss and their heisman worthy QB is being shrugged off too.
If you are who you claim to be then make a statement.

He makes a good point. What did Alabama do to jump us? We were idle, they played FCS Mercer.

It wasn't the GT loss. The committee already put us ahead of Alabama after losing to GT.

BOTH of the teams that beat Alabama lost this week.

Vanderbilt has the same 6-4 record that Georgia Tech does.

And technically.. if we use Joey Galloway's "ranked at the time they played" talking point (just to prove how stupid it is), GT has wins over #4 and #10 (FSU).

Tenn lost to UGA. Vandy was idle. Our biggest win coming into the week lost to a terrible Stanford team. Cal also lost again. Florida is becoming our biggest win but asterisk because Lagway wasn’t the starter.

Not saying I agree with any of it but it’s probably a factor. Also we know they have to start moving the 2 loss SEC teams up. Can’t do it all one fell swoop in order to maintain some appearance of legitimacy.

I saw Virginia in person last week and I will have money on SMU. Notre Dame beat the breaks off them. The game could have very easily been 60-0. Notre Dame is good, but not that good. SMU 45 UVA 24
