That's not a factual statement. There are plenty of reasons why nothing has happened yet. Some very plausible scenarios are:

* Golden doesnt want any changes prior to NLOI day
* The coaches convention is in late January. This is where a ton of coaching moves come from. Al might be giving his buddy some time to find another gig. (very likely scenario).
* UM AD needs to take measures to find more money for coordinator level hire to go after who they want. That can take time, need upper Mgt to sign off, etc..



We just finished our season three days ago. I have no idea if a move will be made but to say that it wont because it hasnt happened already is flawed logic.

Personally, if I were guessing - It wouldnt surprise me if Jethro got thrown under the bus after the coaches convention. If Im right, you guys watch and see where Jethro lands. Dude is a very good position coach and the marketplace knows it. He'll likely be a D line coach back in the NFL next year (assuming he's the scapegoat - my guess)
 
I'm sure he watched the offense this game...but it's probably the previous 7 defensive performances giving up 500+ yards which stood out a little more.

The fat *** has to go...it's not even negotiable. If Onfrio is the coordinator heading into next season we're going to see attendance that makes our normally sub par attendance look good.

Coaches convention is Jan. 12-15
 
Golden has to be in a tough spot.. I hope this doesn't change his perceptions of friendships. But a business relationship requires you to evaluate how successful it is at every level.

Golden has to hire guys who can develop talent. I just want to see kids develop! I don't think that is asking a lot to ask.

How is Golden a really good coach? What are we basing that off of? His public speaking skills or wins/losses?

Someone posted recently that he's like 1-12 against teams with 8 or more wins. Ouch

If that was the case why wouldn't he be in the NFL now? You think he is turning out higher paying jobs to stay at Miami?

Please refrain from logical, well thought out, fact based posts that reflect reality and what might be expected in a profession that as soon as you fire you must hire a replacement who will be looking at how you handled various situations before joining your staff.

there is no place for that kind of thing here.
 
The hate for Dnofrio and this defense isnt just about L'ville..lets make sure we dont lose sight of that. This defense has been horrible for awhile now save for a few games. (UF they looked great and we crowned Dnofrio but we found out that UF sucked.)

I just cant understand how Al is willing to go down with the ship here..

So the question now is...How long is Al's leash if he refuses to fire Dnofrio? My answer? It goes from two years to ONE in my book. If he doesnt get us a new DC and the defense does not show any improvement in year 4, I am officially off the Al Golden bandwagon. Seriously, you guys will have to ban me because I will be spewing all types of mean **** about the guy. If he wants to play that game then so be it. Accept the consequences.

I refuse to let this guy dictate this program and run it into the ground over his friendship. So if he wants to keep Dnofrio, then that is my line in the sand.

If al dosent fire Dorito this year he's writing his own death wish either next or the year after

not so sure about that. there is a different level of talent coming in. you guys realize the best dl we have gotten under golden are jelani (cant stay healthy), pierre (a temple commit), and grimble (a bust) earl moore was pushed in way to early and ivery was suppose to be good but was lazy.
We also lost gionni, ej, and terry. if they are here, gaines and ty are not playing as much and figs and grace redshirt. its not as simple as people think.

WTF is Jethro going to be the scapegoat given this statement? Can the same be said of Dorito???? You talk about a ****ed up situation if it plays this way.
