We were not out of it when coley dropped the pass inside the 10. If he would have caught that, I think we score and stay in the game. But he didn't and Duke gets lose Duke later on 4th down. Ouch!

That was painful on all accounts.

Was a terrible pass could barely get 1 hand on it. Honestly even trying to a get 1 hand on it was token effort. If there was the slightest bit of touch on that pass it's a possible TD.

True. Thought he still could have caught it though.

Easy for me to say from the couch...

I was thinking he could have tried to layout for it but haven't seen the play again. Just remember it was a weird looking play like a quick fade.

Coley misplayed 3 critical balls last night. I love his prospects but he has ways to go. He wasn't ready tonight - neither was burns.

U thought those were good throws? Morris is the SR how about making it easy for the Fr? If it was the other way around I might agree.

Morris does not throw catchable balls...he's got poor touch. He guns it a little too much when he needs to give it some air. He lofts that pass to Coley a little more and he has a chance to get both hands up. It's not that Coley didn't blow it...clearly I think he should make that catch, but Morris doesn't leave a lot of margin for error.

I love him but I sense Coley has a little bit of "I'm too cool to fail" in him where if things aren't going well then his game suffers. He's not Ermon Lane or anything but I think he has it a bit.

First one he couldn't find the ball; he cut off his route. Throw was fine.

Second one, throw was late and short but again, coley had trouble finding the ball which caused him to overrun. Morris was basically throwing it up for grabs, hoping coley can go for it and coley couldn't even make a play on it.

Third one, throw was fine but coley brought his head around kind of late which resulted in a one arm reach for the ball. Ball was right there.

The one handed drop looked to me like he could have caught it with two had he tried. It's not like it was thrown so far that he could only get a hand on it, Coley's arm wasn't even fully extended

How do you overrun a fly pattern? That was all on Morris, he threw it late and short....that one wasn't on Coley at all.

To me
1) first ball was throw way inside when was running outside

2) was a late throw and was under thrown by at least 3 yards.

3) was a quick route was thrown fast and inaccurate. Only a mutant is capable of getting his head back around that fast.

What game were you all watching? All three throws were terrible the deep ball was thrown way to late which is why it was picked and the ball on the sideline had way to much zip on it coley. Coley had zero chance.

Yes, it was under thrown. No arguement. Again, coley didn't even make a play on it. Sorry, don't care if it's under thrown or not, the wr has got to make a play on it. The bc easily fielded it - why couldn't coley?

I swear I wonder if you watched the same game I did. The first throw was outside and coley cut off his route inside. Rewatch it.

On the 3rd, yes, it was a quick fade but it was right to the spot. How can you say it was inaccurate when coley got a hand on it and his arm wasn't even fully extended?

Again, I'm not saying Morris is blameless. I'm saying coley's inexperienced played a big role in those plays.

1st throw was a pass FSU WRs have feasted on this year. He misplayed it and didn't attack it.

2nd was obviously late and under thrown. Still didn't locate it

3rd throw I guess I'll have to rewatch because I thought it was pretty well thrown. Look to me he could have gotten 2 hands on it.

Good news is he is so young and will correct these things. He's going to be a great one.

Fwiw I think people's anger at Morris is clouding some judgement in some of these threads

Coley is a freshman, so I'm not going to dog him too much. The raw talent is there, he'll get better. But he played bad last night. Seriously though, everyone needs to STFU with the "He's Sammy Watkins" comments.

First of al, the drop was no easy catch, second of all, Stephen under threw him on the pick, and third of all Stephen overthrew him on the other one
