FSU/UM game. Not from the play calling side, but rather from the fact that he is less then a year removed from FSU's coaching staff and team personnel. This could pay off dividends for UM. I know the Noles are playing very well, but Coley knows FSU's strengths and weaknesses from the inside. Hopefully, he will be able to apply his familiarity with his old team to our advantage. The timing of this couldn't be any better. Maybe a defensive player struggles jumping offsides with a certain cadence. Perhaps he knows of a D-lineman that is not as strong or quick to react to plays from a certain side of the ball. Maybe there is a LB that struggles in pass coverage in double TE formations. Perhaps he knows Jimbo has a tendency to call running plays on 3&4 inside the opponents side of the ball as opposed to a passing play.

It definitely makes film look interesting with someone that has the intel he has. I know FSU will try to role out packages that we are not familiar with or newer saw, but people's tendencies tend to kick in once the game starts and decisions have to be made in real time. Coley being on staff in 2013 is huge for this game.

I think once you start writing people's pay checks, you acquire a lot of loyalty. I also can't recall a member of either one of staffs jumping ship to the other. I guess the closest thing to this is UF alumn and former WRs coach Aubrey Hill going to Muschamp's staff, but I don't remember if he was on staff at UM when we went up to play Florida (another possible, one-man sleeper cell) I do know however that he was not on staff too long at UF before he had to resign for personal reasons.

I hope so...still hoping he's not a 1 man Nole sleeper cell.

While I agree with the notion of anything being helpful if tendencies are known, luckily for us, FSU really isn't doing anything overly fancy or complex in either the passing or run game. I imagine they'll have a few wrinkles for us. A big **** you to Clemson for giving them the option of keeping some (all) tricks in the bag. But, for the most part, I think we'll see what they've already shown on film.

Two things:

(1) We'll we be able to stop them from settling into our zones?

(2) Will we adjust well in-game?

I actually think we'll see more tricks from our side than from FSU.

I believe Hill was kept on staff when Golden took over, but then left to go to UF. I don't know why Golden kept hill compared to the rest of our assistants, because Hill sucked. I do wish we kept Rick Petri as our DL coach. I thought he did a good job in his 2 seasons here.

Hope he pounds the ball all four quarters with both work horses Duke and Crawford. Morris make the plays when he has to. Let him dunk the ball off to our playmakers and let them go to work. If we start throwing home run balls just for the fun of it and Morris isn't on target will be a long game.

theses fheggot nole fans around here have already penciled in 2 wins vs the CANES

i want to beat these ******* real real bad.

Noles going crazy on facebook right now too. If we beat them, can you believe the epic meltdown? This might be the meltdown of all meltdowns if we win this one. On a side note, I notice I haven't been hearing anything from Gator fans lately. Their silence is Golden :neonu:

At least they're assuming we win the Coastal to take our second beating. Glass half full.

The whole "ex-player/coach will help because they know the opponent from the inside" is one of the most overrated concepts in sports.

supposing we win the Coastal and will play F$U twice. which game do you win if you can pick one?

seems like the ACC champ is the obvious answer, but i am inpatient and greedy. i dont think i can put up with these ****ers arrogance for that long

He bettter not go 4 wrs on them. Need TEs in this game badly.

I think we actually have decent TEs, IF we can just get Morris to look at them once in a while. Just because we can't cover a TE doesn't mean we shouldn't throw to them. Hey, maybe we don't throw to them at practice either -- that might be why our D seems shocked when the other team does -- over and over and over. Maybe Williams can take Morris aside after practice and show him how. He seems to like throwing to big huge TEs that catch ball and run over people for 1st downs--what a concept.

Yeah. Overheard a ****** at gym tell someone, "who we have left? Miami? You know we're scoring 50 + on them."

I spontaneously laughed and surprised myself on next bench set though. ... I'm just gone laugh and play up how bad they're gonna beat us so it hurts them more

It's gonna pay dividends...

For FSU.

It took me all of 4 games to figure out Coley's concepts on offense. FSU surely knows everything this guys gonna do.

*ignore the middle of the field
*throw the ball vertically every time

Oh, and WR stack formation every 2 plays.
