Coburn???

If we got Nesta, Coburn, and this kid Miller all in the same DT class, all those ****heads that were ing all day about Kool can go **** themselves.

Not likely to happen, but it would be awesome. And honestly if it did id consider kicking chatman to the curb. jmo

I don't think anybody is complaining about Kool, especially if this is the result. It just feels like the DT position wasn't made a priority at all until the last 6 weeks or so. It's the timing of the recruiting of these kids, not necessarily the result. Just feels like the DL in general needs to be prioritized much earlier on in the process. It seems like they've learned a lesson based on the commits and offers for the 2019 class so that's good.

That would has the makings of domination.

Coburn flipping to Canes would be monumental. With our luck Coburn will flip and we’ll lose Nesta and have to see gator trolls tweet #watchthefinish for the next 3 months.

Only a cane’s “fan” could focus on a negative hypothetical scenario like this after hearing potentially monumental good news..smh. Boy I tell ya....

Im still shook from the Golden days. Forgive my pessimistic self

Coburn flipping to Miami is less likely than us getting TC and PS2. Coburn has an OV to UT this weekend - kind of tough to beat that imo

Yeah I just read that. Their 247 mod was confident that he sticks too.

It’s been a priority, that’s not been the issue. The impression I’ve gotten is that Kool isn’t the slick salesman that effuses praise on recruits and shows them love the way many modern day recruiters do. He doesn’t have to be to get guys, but I think he was relying too heavily on his resume to pull elite guys. He and CMR in some combination realized this within the past month, clearly appear to have shifted their strategy and so far, NSD results pending, it looks to be gaining momentum.

Don’t forget it’s a down year for elite defensive line players nationwide and this staff has shown they don’t want to add guys for the sake of adding numbers.

Even if we miss on Coburn, it’s evident the staff has identified the opportunity to be better at DL recruiting and is already applying it to 2019/2020 kids.

He also removed Texas Commit from under his name on his Twitter last night. He removed the Longhorn around the same time 3 of the AH athletes were tweeting some cryptic tweets within an hour of each other on the eve of their visit to the U.

First Nesta tweeted “Coral Gables 🙌🏾” then Campbell tweeted “😓” then Surtain tweeted “February 7th”.

Could be they’re all just having some fun with it but could be a BIG WEEKEND!!!!

He’s on a UV, not an OV. Let’s tighten it up down the stretch everyone. This is serious business.

I Asked my friend who went to mizzou. Hes not plugged in as an insider but is a rabid recruiting fan and follows their football team. I asked him about kool and his opinion was that in mizzou most kids grow up wanting to go there cause there isnt any other competition in the state,, similar to GA and it always produces decent dl kids. They may not be the 5 star type but kool is so good at cosching them up he lives on his reptation and has really never had to do the recruiting grind circuit. True or not...i dont know but makes sense

What does Chatman have to do with Coburn? They play different positions, Chatman is going to play SDE for us and we need DEs just as bad as we need DTs.

I would take a good coach over good recruiter. It is the head coach's job to land the fish.

If a Miami commit took it out of his twitter bio, people would be losing their ****. But since it's someone we're going after, he's just trying to drum up interest. I see how some of you operate.

So miserable

Yeah and coburn is a type that may see the field in year 1 as a 1 technique depth filler

1. Chatman is good. not great.
2. Chatman is a future 3tech dt exactly like bethel. He will be a Sde here like 1-2 yrs max. And i completely doubt he eve plays this year

Actions not words. If he is at UT this weekend, then thats where he is likely going.
