This.

Stefan is a wonderful guy and I love his write ups.

But his source has ****ed him more times than I’d let John Stamos **** me if I were a homosexual.

Beginning with the Applewhite debacle and continuing through last week with Height and Francois and now this Rumph thing today.

Please, Stefan, get a new sauce.
What about Kenneth

This isn't a hot take...but you know you're going to fail as a head coach when you can't make hard cuts. Mike Rumph, Barkeep Banda, Patke, and Blake Baker...I have no idea how a single one of those coaches justifies their paycheck.

Not a single one.

Now, I could wrap my head around Manny keeping one...two of these guys...because they are his dudes. But to keep ALL of them?

The defense was decent last year. Statistically, very good. Eyetest...decent. But...33rd in opponent yards per pass attempt in the nation and THREE of your coaches are basically defensive back coaches. THREE. Someone's head needs to roll because that position group is the lag on the defense. If there is a weakness (and there is)...its the DB group. Couple it with some horrendous recruiting over the past two cycles and heads aren't rolling? I don't know how or why. Tells me Manny values loyalty over results and I ain't about that.

The fact that coaches are being evaluated now is a fireable offense. You had all the evidence you needed to fire most of the staff before the bowl game. I understand the logic of waiting until after the bowl to pull the trigger but why are evaluations happening now? Do something right Manny. Do anything right.

Remember after the around the first spring practices, didnt take long, here goes coach diaz who really needs to STFU stop running his damyum mouF and just coach this team up, acting like he knows what top notch coaching looks like, just fast forwad to the :51sec mark, so what happened:

And LBs. IMO, the fact that we played a walk on when Pinckney went down was a direct result of having one coach for MLB and another for OLB.

Yes, all LBs should be coached by the same guy. One voice, one vision.

I feel Baker should focus solely on being a DC and they should hire a true LB coach. That way the DC can focus on the D as a whole, do more game-planning, tape review, etc and not worry about a position group.

With having 10 assistants now, there's no reason to need your DC/OC positions coaching another position unless it's OC/QB.

You could use a S and CB coach....some NFL teams do it. In college though, it seems communication issues arise a lot so i think it's better to have just 1 guy. But i can see the pros/cons either way. The only other position group it could make sense is DL. You could have an interior DL specialist and a Edge rusher specialist since both have completely different players with different bodies/responsibilities/techniques.

Part of the problem is our approach. 5 stars aren’t coming to play for .500 team. Attack the 3 stars with upside. Sign 5 and coach up 3 of them
There is another approach which is what highly mediocre Nebraska has done. The W-L record doesn't matter, if you got "game". Nebraska simply upped their recruiting game. We need to bring in elite talent. There's a tremendous correlation between stars and win-loss records. This is Miami...and average or good isn't good enough.

The only oc he has ties to is applewhite from their time at texas

He has second-hand ties to Eric Morris at Incarnate Word through Banda, but it's true he doesn't have much in the way of connections that he could pull.

If it were me, and it was my entire legacy here, I'm going strong with the firings and trying to bring in as many smart people with new ideas as I can. It's my philosophy to surround myself with people smarter than me at work and they always make me look smarter than I am.

This waffling I'm reading about is another red mark against this coach in my view.

Leaders lead, not waffle. You're going to be wrong at times, and that's ok. Just learn and keep it moving. Does this look like Coach Diaz is learning anything, or getting conservative? I need to logoff, this stuff is ruining my staycation.

Firing coaches is fluid.

Yeah, and sometimes, if coaches are friends, they'll let them find their own opportunities when more open up. Maybe its the end of the NFL season or maybe its simply for contract purposes where there are termination dates for bonuses, etc.

Not every firing has to be dirty and scorched earth.

I know ESPN said Enos was FIRED...but the early reports and from the University said it was a "parting of ways"...these are very different, with the same result. For some reason, it seems the University is treating these moves with kid gloves. Not sure why...its weird...they just are.
