Coaching Coaching Carousel 2024 - 2025 - Not Miami Related

Funny thing is Mack was going to retire until everyone starting pressing him about it. I think his agent told him to hold strong and take a buyout instead of walking with nothing. I said in another post when he started saying he was going to keep coaching that the AD wasn’t gonna let that happen one way or another. Guess it came down to money > dignity.

I would guess Brent Pry is next after losing to Duke.

UNC would be a perfect spot for Dan Mullen…..

or Shannon Dawson

Doesn’t seem like a lot of top jobs will be open this year. Ufag probably would’ve been the top job on the market if they canned Billy boy.

I know for 100% certainty that UNC wanted Jamey Chadwell as recent as this past off season when they were going to let Brown run it back one more time.

Wondering if this season made them sour on him a little. Did less with more against a weak schedule and higher expectations. Sumrall at Tulane is probably going to be their target (everyone’s top target). I could also see them going for Schumann at Georgia and Barry Odom at UNLV.

He runs a very interesting option based passing offense.

If his offense can work at Rice, then I think he's heading to a big time program in 2 years.

These lower FCS programs (like Davidson) coaching staffs should be scouted heavily by big programs to get a jump on up and coming talent. Bring those guys in as analysts and get them into your program's pipeline asap. There's so much innovation at that level because the talent disparity is much greater than most other levels.

Here's a quick little breakdown of the offense -

Dan Casey is a great follow btw

I watched a few Youtube highlights of Davidson and, tbh, I didn't see much.
I will have to revisit in light of your comments, which I agree with insofar as following the successful coaches from lower divisions.
As an example, I think the OC (Cronic) at Army has done a good job.
