I agree with you on the assessment of Mario. Let’s hope Hetherman adds the right staff to compliment and teach his scheme

@JayCane20 What do your analytics guys say about Hetherman? (I think it was you who was plugged into that group who also put data to coaching hires)

He’s been at AFCA convention and going on vacation after that so I don’t have the full details but he said he has a very high career grade (86th percentile of all DCs since they started tracking in 2012) and very high grade from 2024 alone.

He was saying if he was consulted, like some schools hire them to do, Hetherman would have been in the top 5 on his short list of recommendations. This was before we hired him.

It does but then you think about it and his typical hire is Dave Campo or Jason Garrett and then he sticks with them way too long…would assume this is just Deion’s agent getting him a raise? If not please bring me Drelon and Seaton.

I still like Hetherman, but he’s light on experience and not at all like the profile that leaked out

Except he brought in Kevin Steele and Charlie Strong on defense in the past, and a well traveled Dana Holgorsen on offense. Not really up and comers he can push around
