It's a dumb narrative.
He not only hired Steele, he also hired Charlie Strong.
Both graybeards, and they failed.
And he also hired JT and Big Joe, both long-time NFL players
with one being a HOF.
These are not 20-something year old snot nose rookie coaches.
I reckon this is the new narrative after the previous "hE doe$n't aLLow

Valid from that perspective. I think it’s more that Mario needs to totally get his hands out of the defense and hand the reigns to the DC and let them hire, recruit, play, and coach who/what they want.

Hetherman doesn’t have HC experience but he’s on that path. Rising fast
