No idea where the connection is. All the article said was he would be an assistant coach and also mentioned he was going to be a coach for a new football league.

This is not the first time he's had to step down from a job because of health reasons.
Too bad.
He is one of the top coaches in the game.
Alot of his peers at all levels of football are big fans.

My wife’s an alum so we may go to a game or 2 just too see him.

It's been a rocky few years with this coach.
During last few years at Arkansas State, his late wife was dying of cancer. Things got
so bad he was (reportedly) a part-time coach, understandably focusing his time on wife.
Then after she passes away, he cans several of his assistants including one (Buster Faulkner)
who went on to do well at UGA.
He bolts to Utah State and later one of his kids commits suicide and soon after one of his
brothers succumbs to cancer.

Looks like the HC at Murray State has built an interesting staff and roster. In particular, I like the DC he nabbed from FAMU.
