A "source" said that to Adam Schefter. My hunch is that it was his agent.

I'm just desperately trying to connect dots given that apparently one of the breakdowns between Brady and UM was autonomy.

Maybe the prospect of bringing one of his guys with him changes opens his mind.

We're officially going to be far and away the highest paid assistant coaching staff in the ACC - by probably $1M

LOL at promoting an off-field assistant to DC. I find it hard to believe he expects that work and to even halfway duplicate what they just lost... the best DC in college football. There's no way you're not expecting Clemson to drop off if you're a fan, right? That's sad for a team that had $4.6M tied up in coordinators ($2.5 for one guy) in 2021 and now they're going to be paying $2.5 total for 2 coordinators and a co-coordinator.

Hope Elliott takes Todd Bates the DL coach with him. Bates is their best recruiter and Dabo would be in real trouble without Elliott, Venerable's, and him.
