I would fire Coach D and bring in a defensive coordinator and ask him who he wants as his coaches. If he wants to keep some then that is fine but he needs to be in charge of the defense. I am fine with a 3-4 or a 4-3 whatever Golden wants but that DC needs to get control on how he is going to call the game.

I think there's 0% chance that we hire a DC that gains full control over the defense.

I still love Al Golden, it will take a lot more for me to lose my faith in him, but god**** that man is stubborn...
 
You guys gotta realize, there's very little athletic talent on that defense. You can talk all you want about 1 gap, 2 gap, 4-3, 3-4, we don't have athletes, especially on the DL. Those are very ordinary guys, very ordinary. Same at almost all the other positions.

sorry, I dont buy that. You are telling me Maryland is more talented on defense? Duke is more talented on defense? (and if you think yes, then after 3 years, that is a fireable offense in itself) They have not looked nearly as bad as we have. We may not have All-Americans on D, but what is happening is simply unacceptable.
 
The Matador, its time to give it up. No excusing what has happened on today. If what you are saying is correct and you think we dont have the same or equal athletic talent as Maryland (Who wiped the floor defensively with Vtech) and Duke (Who wiped the floor with BOTH of us) then at that point AL GOLDEN needs to be fired cuz he has had 3 years to bring in talent and hasnt gotten it done. Because im not ready to believe that yet, Al just needs to fire Donofrio and Franklin. If Al cant do that, than Al needs to go. No one more is ever bigger then this program.

People talk about Al having power? Lol. Lets see how much power he has when about 19,000 show up to the game this Sat. Then I want people to come talk to me about power.

Mat, We may not be deep or as talented as f$u, ala, and some others, but do you honestly expect us to believe that we're not talented enough to slow Duke down? Duke, man....NOT **** Oregon, but Duke! Teams are making us their bytches week after week, and their running the same fuccin plays (over and over again), in the same **** situation, using the same **** formations! If u can't see what is PAINFULLY OBVIOUS to most on this board (That NoD'onofrio is fuccin horrible), then I really don't know what to say to you.

I'm not really understanding the fire kehoe. Last I saw the OLine was ranked in the top 10 for sacks allowed. So our guys didn't go out and dominate vt and fsu dlines, those are 2 of the best dlines in the country. We still held our own at the LOS. Against Duke we dominated the dline I thought. Our rushing game constantly broke 10 yard runs. Remember when everyone wanted to fire Stoutland?

Its not the 3-4 that is the problem its the way we run it. Have you seen the saints with Rob Ryan? they play go after the QB with 5,6,7 all the time. We play a soft 3-4.

Yep.Can run a 3-4 one gap. The key is the one gap. It's attacking the gap versus 2 gap engaging OL and reacting. Seattle plays 3-4 one gap

I agree all of this, i have to say the secondary (minus highsmith) has played well this season, williams has done a good job, i personally think the o-line has looked good this season, gotta keep barrow he is a great recruiter

Bottom line is if we get rid of barrow, TRUST ME. We will lose 4-5 elite local kids. Trust me.
