LOL @ the notion Bama isn't impressive. They win games in all sorts of ways. They win even when they sht the bed. They are a machine and all the experts on the board are finding reasons why they aren't all that impressive.

I'm sure you would love our beloved Canes to be this unimpressive.
 
Clemson is gonna beat Bama; wouldn't be surprised if its by 10+ but more than likely a TD or so.

So the Suckeyes get another favorable spot. Is it not blatantly obvious the college football wants Alabama vs. Ohio State.
 
Watson is trash as an NFL prospect, but this is fun to watch. Ohio St are being taken to the cleaners.

It'll take time.

The D could hang with them now for 3 quarters. The O would get us killed.

Need to bring in quality depth everywhere and one or two game changers on O (along with improving that Oline).

You can't convince the Nole Fans that they'd be killed by Bama, but they would. Clemson would too, playing at the level they're at. Because Clemson only beat them by 2 earlier this year, FSU people think they could compete. This after they had trouble beating a Michigan team with a QB that couldn't hold Jacory's position, much less Kaaya's, if he were here.

Bama would beat us into the ground on defense alone. Not offensively, we'd hang around, but it would be like the Washington game earlier today. Then one of those linemen would put Kaaya out of the game with a concussion.

Our defense would play surprisingly well against them. But we're just not at that level, and won't be for at least two years.

Let's face it. How many of you people want to bet on us after we had trouble running against that stout West Virginia defensive line?

Nah they'd get crushed by the Browns.

It works in college because they have size, speed and numbers. The first wave of 5*s get tired and they roll out the next wave. If you don't get out ahead of Alabama eventually they just wear you out - like handing off to their 230lb RB who's fresh as a daisy. It's a grinding style of football that is frankly awful to watch.

In the NFL they're college all-stars. They wouldn't have that size, speed or depth advantage.

While your answer is right I also want to punch you in the throat for even addressing the notion of Bama playing an NFL team. The ONLY hypothetical of this nature that'd work is an average to decent high school boys hoops team beating the WNBA champion.

Long ago and far away, a college all-star team played the defending NFL champions every August in Chicago, and every once in a while they won.
 
Bama is impressive because they do win. OSU team that beat us in 2002 was very mediocre on offense but they were good enough everywhere else. Great teams have complementary parts. what has helped bama throughout the years is poll pumping of the SEC, especially this year. Bama has not faced a legit QB all year. Bama is not a great team all around, they defense is so good though, it really is.

Bama has the #1 defense allowing 12.5 points, our D is ranked #1 2 with 19.8 points (better than Clemson). It would be even better except for the VT game where we were playing TEs at DE due to so many injuries. This may come as a shock, but we're not that far away from being a truly elite defense and it's a younger group than what Bama has on the field.

A lot of you guys were on that **** leading up to the FSU game & it's still weak now... F*ck FSU, UNC, Va Tech, Pitt & Clemson...

The only thing that helps Miami is for us to win & our rivals to lose big...

You don't have to have pride in your conference, but how you gonna say beating a 11 win fsu isn't worth more than a 4 win duke? It's not nearly the most important thing, but strength of schedule will be important going forward and most of our games are against acc teams.
