Who doesn’t love sloppy seconds?
We've had some success over the years with "sloppy seconds."

Cleveland Gary, Shane Curry, among others.

If he,was good enough to be in the rotation, to get some quality playing time at Clemson, I think he could do the same here. The only question is, does if have to sit out a year?

Well, we beat Nebraska in the 1984 Orange Bowl with a RB on the roster (Jimmy Austin) who transferred from that program.

Oh, c'mon. Jimmy Austin? Did he even play? I remember reading about him when he came back and I think he was a complete non-factor. Did he even play special teams?

The RBs who really got time at RB were Keith Griffin, Speedy Neal and Albert Bentley. Can you name another one?

We apparently had a JV team back then and I remember Austin played for them against the Bucktown Bucks, my favorite football team in Miami that nobody's ever heard of.

My all-time favorite Miami team after the Canes were the Miami Seahawks, our pro team from the late '40's. After they folded, playing one miserable year, their franchise was given to the Baltimore Colts, as I recall.

That was around 1948.

Being at the ranch with no internet was probably the best thing you could have done instead of following the 24x7 bellyaching on this board.
