Clemson $$$$$ At It Again In Florida

And Sammy Watkins is a total physical freak with all the skills. Literally anybody could “coach” him to a high NFL draft choice...you’d just basically leave him the fūck alone and let him learn route running in an NFL rookie camp, which is what he did anyway after 3 years of running curls and outs with no technique.

Curls is the new staple for them. When Watkins was there it was slants and go routes. But yeah he was one of the best HS WRs I've ever seen and hasn't developed a lick since thanks to CU and Buffalo.

She may have done some decent politicking on the Shapiro scandal. But, she 100% **** the bed on consecutive hires. If, she gets one of those right, the scandal wouldn't have been an issue.

Yes. Agreed. She did not want to pay high salaries for coaches and felt that the new football complex was adequate. There is no IPF under her "watch".

Her handling of Shapiro was exemplary. She obtained all of the requisite facts, analyzed the situation and developed a winning strategy. She also bid her time and waited for the perfect moment in which to strike. Go back and read the articles. From the moment that she testified to the moment that they slapped our wrist. She also came out in the press and implied that if the review took longer than warranted, she would act... She handled this matter expertly.

I've been and for a college town, it's a good one. IMO, most big college towns are pretty cool and completely different from city schools or small private ones.

To add to above, when I was growing up, Miami was it. Then I went to another college and was sold. Had I visited some others as I've been all over, I wouldn't have picked that school. Heck, I was slated to go to another college in the fall on a full ride, bit come July I changed my mind and took a year off school. Wouldn't change a thing, it worked out, but even today I would go for mountains. Crazy, in particular at that young age.
Some schools are so big, they're like cities unto themselves. I was born in Miami and raised in Hollywood. Have lived in the mountains for 35 years. For me, even though I've lived in them for so long, the mountains are a nice place to visit but I prefer the coast. It's in my blood. To each his own.

I hear you man. Everyone is unique and what one prefers today, that may change tomorrow. That's why I don't get bent out of shape whenever a recruit goes wherever. I don't know all of the reasons behind their decisions, I just hope they made the right one for them.

The NCAA bungled the case so bad that any half intelligent bureaucrat could've spiked that one in the end zone. You're giving her way too much credit and way too little credit with her systematic dismantling of the football team in favor of the disastrous UHealth institution.

Clemson is a quality school with a phenomenal fan base. If you have ever gone to their campus for a game you would know that. They have a story to tell and in my view they are a cut above most SEC schools

Since they are mutually exclusive institutions, with mutually exclusive funding buckets, you are again showing your ignorance.

Shalala is not beyond criticism, but you are so woefully misinformed that you’re just sounding silly and ignorant.

When an inner city kid goes to a school that looks like Hiroshima its because of money most times not because they put guys in the league. These kids most of the time are NFL types so they can go to the league if they played for FIU. They love the sport but theres one thing they love more than the sport, FAMILY. Buy the family buy the player.

Relatives selling family members is just about the second oldest business in history.

You related to her? She rolled over and played dead until the found lack of institutional control. That meant HER failure. All she did was try to buy off that finding with a "watch how much I can punish this dying football program". NCCA screwed her. What saved us was the fact that NCCA laid down with the same flea infested dog she took money from and then the psu shower games.

Well I do think money is prominent in SFL recruiting. Let’s think like a talented WR going thru this process.

1. Clemson has actually shown the ability to recruit talented QBs, who will get the WRs the ball.
2. Clemson has recently put some WRs in the league ( yes I know Miami does as well)
3. Wide open offense. Richt offense is little boring & lacks creativity.
4. Last but not least, Clemson has been winning.

Now if I’m Ladson, I commit to Miami & help recruit MJJ.

Ladson With Every Option Available School Wise Chooses BumF**K Clemson. As A Lad Growing Up In Miami He Always Dreamed Of Going To College In A Backwood Backward Town In DipS**t South Carolina .... Yeaaaaaa. $$$$$$$'x $$$$$$$×$$$$$$$$$$$$
I lived in SC and as a Teen I had an AAU tournament out there in Clemson and when I say it’s literally sh it out there it’s NOTHING OUT THERE The university make that town run

Ladson went to Clemson because he bought into the hype that Trevor Lawrence is the next Andrew Luck which could benefit him tremendously in achieving his goal of making it to the NFL. The Canes have Rosier at QB who can’t hit a WR in stride. Out of all the recruits who have chose to go to a different school, Ladson’s Decision makes the most sense. I bet if Williams wins the starting job and proves to be a capable QB you could see Lawson have a change of heart.

LOL.

I bet you Ladson barely knows who Lawrence is.

After they FINALLY allowed her to testify, the NCAA came out and said: "we now need to review.... and... blah.... blah....". Read her PUBLIC responses to that. They were masterful. She let the NCAA know that: (1.) UM is rich; and (2.) she was going to fight.

Well said!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ray mccloud, Deon Cain both 6 round picks and both came there as **** near 5 stars. Artavius Scott went undrafted. Have to think you are talking about one of them. They all are from Florida Only Florida receiver that has been drafted high from there is Sammy watkins
What do they expect to happen when they only know how to run like 2 routes...

How is Lad$on going to choose Clem$on over Miami b/c of an incoming Fr QB Lawrence vs RS Sr QB Rosier?

You do realize Rosier won't be here next year when Lad$on plays his first college snap right?

Clem$on runs their program like an $EC team and do all the shady **** necessary to keep up with Baga.

They definitely bought Lad$on, and had him shut down his recruitment.

Read some of his interviews and he talked about Lawrence....

I didn't say anything about funding **** for brains, it's about woeful mismanagement. The reverse Midas touch.

Completely disagree. The program declined markedly under Shalala, but when she was finally able to testify, they reached a verdict quickly and we received minor infractions.

My guess is that she showed up and said: "you took 3 years to investigate this matter, found very little and crippled my athletic department's main source of revenue. I just raised $2.5 billion in the "Millenium Campaign", and will use some of the capital to sue you for negligence... You better hope that we do not uncover other schools doing worse things than us during the course of the lawsuit..."

Am not sure what she said, but once she involved herself in the process, it ended quickly.

She refused to join football's "arms race", but she extricated us from Shapiro without a sizable penalty.

Ahh yes, Donna Shalala: Arsonist, Firefighter, Hero
