Clemson $$$$$ At It Again In Florida

Lulz Miami got a slap on the wrist. The problem was the wrists that got slapped. Shalala and Golden let it take the program back to ground zero. A competent president/head coach would have breezed through it.

Completely disagree. The program declined markedly under Shalala, but when she was finally able to testify, they reached a verdict quickly and we received minor infractions.

My guess is that she showed up and said: "you took 3 years to investigate this matter, found very little and crippled my athletic department's main source of revenue. I just raised $2.5 billion in the "Millenium Campaign", and will use some of the capital to sue you for negligence... You better hope that we do not uncover other schools doing worse things than us during the course of the lawsuit..."

Am not sure what she said, but once she involved herself in the process, it ended quickly.

She refused to join football's "arms race", but she extricated us from Shapiro without a sizable penalty.

You what's funny. I know a few WR's that felt the same way...they both left school early. Says Jeff Scott is **** as a WR coach...only a good recruiter bc of the bag men.
It’s pretty obvious to anyone that actually watches Clemson, and doesn’t just repeat dumb cliches in an effort to be “objective.”

How many times are we gonna have to endure people making threads about other schools paying recruits every time we don't get one? I believe we all know what's going on so why keep bringing it up? It's old and tiresome! It's nothing that hasn't always gone on so put it to rest. Yes other schools payoff recruits and or their families! Can we move on now? Fuuuuck

It won't ever end, even when there's no tangible evidence of any foul play.

This is just the latest thing in a long list of excuses as to why someone picks another school over us. In the eyes of a lot of posters, there's never a reason to pick anyone over us, so an excuse must be made. These dudes can't comprehend the idea that something is possibly more attractive or that someone sold them better than our coaches did.

Miami is a very different school with positives and negatives that vary for each recruit. I myself would want to have the U on my helmet, but if I'm honest with myself, I would rather be at a big university in a different city.

See, I love mountains, but would that be enough to go to somewhere mountainous? I'd have to really think on that and unfortunately there's not many good options for that. If Colorado was rolling like they were for a few years, Boulder is most certainly a place I would love to spend my college years. Then you've gotta consider your major, coaches, playing time, and all kinds of things.

Anyhow, back to the bags for everyone. Whatever lets you guys sleep at night.

Ray mccloud, Deon Cain both 6 round picks and both came there as **** near 5 stars. Artavius Scott went undrafted. Have to think you are talking about one of them. They all are from Florida Only Florida receiver that has been drafted high from there is Sammy watkins

Ladson went to Clemson because he bought into the hype that Trevor Lawrence is the next Andrew Luck which could benefit him tremendously in achieving his goal of making it to the NFL. The Canes have Rosier at QB who can’t hit a WR in stride. Out of all the recruits who have chose to go to a different school, Ladson’s Decision makes the most sense. I bet if Williams wins the starting job and proves to be a capable QB you could see Lawson have a change of heart.

So Ladson went to play with a QB whose a year ahead of him and there's no guarantee he even starts more than one year with Lawrence.

Interesting..

Colorado too cold for my blood.

And Sammy Watkins is a total physical freak with all the skills. Literally anybody could “coach” him to a high NFL draft choice...you’d just basically leave him the fūck alone and let him learn route running in an NFL rookie camp, which is what he did anyway after 3 years of running curls and outs with no technique.

Ladson With Every Option Available School Wise Chooses BumF**K Clemson. As A Lad Growing Up In Miami He Always Dreamed Of Going To College In A Backwood Backward Town In DipS**t South Carolina .... Yeaaaaaa. $$$$$$$'x $$$$$$$×$$$$$$$$$$$$
maybe he grew up thinking he'd want to play in one of the top 2 programs out there that is putting players all over in the league. This isn't 1980 when players barely knew about other schools. Also, all this **** talk about backwood towns.........some of these university towns are great and you are treated like a god there and can go away for school and experience that. I'd love everyone great to pick Miami, but simply saying its money is ignorant.

How is Rosier even a factor in Ladson's recruiting if Rosier is a 5th year senior?

100% correct. I wonder if some of these posters have even been to Clemson. Sometimes kids just want something completely different from where they grew up and it doesn't hurt that Clemson is at the top of college football for the foreseeable future.

She may have done some decent politicking on the Shapiro scandal. But, she 100% **** the bed on consecutive hires. If, she gets one of those right, the scandal wouldn't have been an issue.

Dead wrong.

I guess you don’t know any details on Shapiro, do you? Like why he did what he did. Might want to read up on it.

Try some facts next time. They’re helpful. Shapiro’s actions were going to occur no matter what, but you go ahead and make up some alternate reality bullshlt.

I've been and for a college town, it's a good one. IMO, most big college towns are pretty cool and completely different from city schools or small private ones.

To add to above, when I was growing up, Miami was it. Then I went to another college and was sold. Had I visited some others as I've been all over, I wouldn't have picked that school. Heck, I was slated to go to another college in the fall on a full ride, bit come July I changed my mind and took a year off school. Wouldn't change a thing, it worked out, but even today I would go for mountains. Crazy, in particular at that young age.
