Dawgs247 spoke with Wiley prior to Florida State's second loss, but it centered around a common topic that's come up early this season: Does Florida State's record matter?
That question hit home after the Week 0 loss to
Georgia Tech. It's even more relevant now.
Wiley was clear about the importance of winning.
"I'm just really seeing how the receivers develop and how they do in the games. But yeah, the results do matter at the end of the day. Yeah, winning does matter, yeah," Wiley told Dawgs247.
The 6-foot-4, 195-pound receiver said the message from Florida State hasn't changed despite the slight national tenor adjustment around the program.
"There's really not a new message. It's been the same ole thing. They haven't been saying much about the loss for real," he said about the Georgia Tech game. "They told me on the way back they had a good time in Ireland and stuff, but we haven't focused on the loss. They've been missing a couple pieces, so I'll give them that."
