I get everything that happened. I think it was an overreaction instigated by notorious cane hater and saboteur Wilson, and by some STA coaches (them I understand)

But serious question, no bullshlt.

If the shoe was on the other foot, do we get the apologies and the downpour of fake moral outrage? Be honest.

At the end of the day, these kids did nothing more than talk some rivalry smack on social media. THAT’S IT!

They didn’t post hate speech, they didn’t break any laws, they didn’t do anything that’s morally objectionable. Unless you consider a little trash talking a mortal sin.

Had this been at the coach’s house, you could argue bad taste.

But this was at a TRANSACTIONAL COMMERCIAL event put on only for the express purpose of enhancing recruiting relationships and the 7 on 7 team. There was no coaching or teaching going on like at Paradise.

This was a commercial event, strictly for recruiting, and for Chad Wilson to make sure he enhances the UF south Florida/FLexpress pipeline.

So this was no sacrosanct event. It was strictly transactional. You take your chances with such overt commercialism.
 
The fact remains that one of our mods is specifically called out in the apology, like he represents UF or is somehow owed an apology. That’s a bad look right there and the type of conflict of interest most of us would rather avoid. It’s hard to trust someone playing both sides.

I love this site, but wtf?! It's a college football site. Posting this stuff and sharing it is a part of being a fan. I thought people ****ting on Marrero was over done until now. He's a czzzunt. So sad the gator is a protected species around here. Never thought that could actually happen on a Canes site.

Stop this with this nonsense- your dude is the one that keeps proving day after day he is not a Cane and he represents this site. He is the one creating his own bulletin board material. If I didn’t know any better it sounds like this Gator is related to someone involved with this site or has some low down dirty on someone.

A player requested it be removed. Marrero had nothing to do with it.

Even if he didn't have anything to do with it (doubtful).

None of us want him here.

In fact, most everybody here wants him gone.

His articles suck with grammar mistakes all over them, and we don't want a ******* **** covering our Canes.

What do you not understand about that?

Where was the apology for that DE throwing the U down in his actual visit pictures at UF ?

CIS must be HURTING for writers . Is it really that hard to find good local writers that are Cane fans ? No insider information whatsoever and not a particularly good writer in the first place. **** is weird, Dude is clearly a UF fanboy . 90% chance he was in those recruits dms telling them some bull**** like “that’s not a good look bro”

And then seemingly un-deleted it after the kids were out of Gainesville and after they issued their prisoner of war-like faux apology.

Everything else still stands- especially the Marrereerro issue but also the general double standard applied to us, Choad Wilson's hovering stench, etc. but the specifics of what actually appeared to have happened here have me exponentially less rustled now.
