Chris Stock

Jacksonville is not closer to Tallahassee than Gainesvile. Gainesville is closer by about 30 min drive. That article is total BS if that is an argument they are making.

Ivins just posted this article

American Heritage Scoop
There's no question that some folks in Coral Gables think that things are trending up with five-star cornerback Patrick Surtain Jr. and trending down a bit with five-star cornerback Tyson Campbell. A trusted source said that the Hurricanes were somewhat surprised to see Surtain Jr. on campus last week for the men's basketball game against Duke, but at the same time not all that shocked as the U.S. Army All-American has been very receptive to recent conversations with Mike Rumph.

Both Rumph and Manny Diaz conducted an in-home visit with the Surtain family on Wednesday night. The buzz coming out of that meeting is that the Hurricanes will likely get Surtain Jr. on campus for an official visit the weekend before National Signing Day although that date isn't exactly locked in yet. One thing to note however is that Kerry Coombs (Surtain's primary recruiter at Ohio State) just accepted an NFL job which might take the Buckeyes out the running for an official visit in these final two weeks.

As for Campbell the folks at UM still remain optimistic. The plan as of early Wednesday morning is for the U.S. Army All-American to be on campus the weekend of Feb. 2 with his parents. Miami has saved the in-home visit with Mark Richt for next week and one contact connected to the recruitment thinks that could play a huge factor in the decision process. Remember last cycle Kai-Leon Herbert was dead-set on signing with Michigan until Richt sat in his living room and changed his mind. Georgia continues to feel good about where things stand.

Those close to Top300 linebacker/defensive end Andrew Chatfield believe that he remains torn between Miami and Florida. The good news however might be the fact that both of his parents want him at UM. Some also think that Ja'Juan Seider's decision to leave Dan Mullen's staff could ultimately swing things in favor of the Hurricanes as he was heavily involved in Chatfield's recruitment. Which also might be the case when it comes to Nesta Silvera. The Top100 defensive tackle spent this past weekend in Gainesville, but we have yet to hear anything that suggests he's wavering on his verbal pledge to Miami. He's expected to join Campbell in Coral Gables next weekend. We heard that Rumph and Diaz got plenty of face time with mom at AMH on Wednesday.

I believe Ivins all day over Stock especially when Ivins nevrr rrally makes statements until it's concrete

Ivins is Pete's biggest "competition" as it relates to Canes news. Like I said earlier in this thread, I'll take what Pete or Ivins says 11 times out of 10 over Stock who's known to cling onto something negative and run with it.

Pete has more volume IMO as far as what is going on inside the program and the recruits but Ivins to me drops the mic especially around this time. Stock is one of the ******** who will say anything for shock value

Feel like we had Chatfield visit on the first OV weekend to secure his commitment. That didn't happen and now UF gets the crucial last OV. Sounds like we lead but we need to continue putting the heat on with this UF visit looming.

I think the smoke here is real. Losing Chatfield to Florida would be a total failure and kind of bizarre. Doesn't really make sense. If he is going to Florida because of ***** then he is a moron.

Agreed. As much as I love Storm18, a lot of my man crushes are on offense. Don't me get wrong, I love Hall, Ivey, Gil but we need some big nasties.

Coming out of retirement. Calling it like I see it. Richt was the perfect hire to get us out of the mess we were in. He has too much baggage though and will not get us to the next level. Sorry but hes in year 20 and hasnt been to 1 title game...or even won his own conference. You can ban me, block me, downvote me, tell me a I am an idiot, but you cant dispute that fact. Is it a coincidence in year 2 after he left, someone else was able to?

He sucks at calling plays, he is stubborn, he comes off as fake as evidenced by him cursing and grabbing refs (which i actually like but dont act like you would never do that stuff), and he isnt winning the recruiting battles that we need to win to get back to being elite. Henderson, Brian Edwards, Shawn Davis he let walk, Grimes he let walk, Chatfield, Campbell, Surtain, Jobe, Samuel...essentially an entire starting side of the ball in 2 recruiting cycles.

Let me know when we get TC, Surtain, Chatfield or **** even keep Nesta at this point.

Ill eat my words if I am wrong, but honeymoon period is dimming quickly for me. Same old Miami **** we have been dealing with for 15 years.

**** honestly, the #Storm18 class we thought was top 3, be lucky to be top 10.

Go back into retirement.

If you post "inside info" and it's good news, everybody loves it.
Post some bad inside info and you immediately become a bad guy and an unreliable source.

We weren't getting trolled by the kids when the news was optimistic, now all of a sudden a group of teenagers has developed a master prank to get UM fans riled up.

How about this...
Be a grown man and stop acting like over-emotional little girls over the decisions of teenage kids. It's sad how worked up this **** gets some of you guys. Take every piece of information with a grain of salt, understand that recruiting is fluid, and let **** play out.
The only one getting emotional is you. Grab some high-quality beard oil and pamper yourself with a nice conditioning treatment. I'd suggest something with a little soothing peppermint oil to relax you.

Anyone with even a scintilla of intelligence realizes your positive info and negative info is just chatter. There's nothing really there of any substance on the positive or negative tip. Some of us are discussing where we stand with the recruits and proposing our own theories. The fact that we aren't automatically accepting everything you're telling us as gospel doesn't mean we're overly emotional.

How 'bout you sit on my face and give me some of Franchise's own homemade organic beard oil?

Sounds like a date.

Coach you know I appreciate your info but this date you just made with a Chise is a little TOO much info for me...sounds like some kinky **** you guys about to get into...lol

I keep hearing about some chick being the impetus for a potential UiF commitment, but the bigger concern I have is someone getting in his ear about playing OLB in a 3-4 defense. If I had his ear, I might remind Chatfield that of the 32 NFL teams, only 12 sported a 3-4 defense last season. So there is a greater demand for a 4-3 pass-rushing DEs than 3-4 OLBs. I'd remind him that the financial numbers bear this out as well, as the 2017 franchise tag for DEs was $16.934 million vs. $14.550 million for LBs.
