Chris Johnson jr to smu

I tried telling people CJJ was just a gadget player before the season. His speed is a weapon but he’s limited as a running back. You need a creative coach to draw plays up for him. He will have some big plays playing for Lashlee but he’s not going to be their starting running back. He’s a track guy who plays football not a football player who runs track.
Yea agree perfect fit is SMU and he’s a gadget guy for sure.

They have like 5/6 Miami guys starting fort them and more in the rotation. Oh and they’re in the playoff while Miami is in the Pop Fart Bowl. I know we must defend the staff at all costs but SMU is doing just fine with our guy’s. A lot of the same comments on CJ are the same ones made on Brashard and the others.
This is the difference between actual good coaches and frauds. Good coaches can maximize the talents of their players. They can squeeze winning seasons out of mediocre rosters and design their game plans around what their guys can and can’t do. Anyone can win when they have a roster full of first round picks but you shouldn’t need a roster full of first round picks to be a winner.

i should say: over/under 5 receptions+carries per game
Hmm...over for sure in early part of season. I'm actually really curious to see if Rhett convinces him to switch to WR. I don't think he's a running back.

The guy has amazing straight line speed, but no shake. Will be interesting to see if he ever does anything.

Exactly. I was always concerned with his size, the guy was rail thin for a rb. Even after two years in a college S&C program his legs still look like toothpicks. Idk if he could take the beating of a rb.

He caught a few swing passes so maybe a position switch is in his future. Other than that he'll probably be a gadget player and return man, which is pretty much what he did in his limited time here.

Even Ajay Allen who was clearly the better runner hit the portal. So for the ppl who are upset we didn't use him enough Exactly who was he supposed to take snaps from?

i think of how rhett schemed a few runs for cam harris with so much open grass...

I was going to mention that after the fact. The gap between the ACC and the old AAC isn’t that big. Hence, why SMU was able to come in and almost win the conference in their first season.
people act liek they played nobody and we played 12 undefeated teams. our schedule sucked too

They dodged Syracuse and Georgia Tech and got much easier games against UVA and Stanford but it’s not like we played murderer’s row. Their schedule was a little bit easier but not so much that you could make a big deal about it.

cuse and tech arent world beaters. good teams would have taken care of both and even if you say bad day against tech, cuse was apocalyptic in terms of a choke

agreed overall.
