Chevis Jackson's Impact on Recruiting

This shouldn’t be a Raymond v Jackson argument. Mario hired legends and it didn’t work out so then he went with rising stars. The two prototypes can both be equally as good depending on the situation.

I’m a Raymond fan. At the same time, I’m optimistic Jackson becomes the legend Raymond already is. Mario and Guidry know what they’re doing. I understand why they went with him.
Not comparing Raymond to Coley but remember what board you’re referring to

Despite our top notch TE recruiting there will still be someone coming in to this thread saying “I’d bring Coley in as TE coach” if you set the trap for them

Chevis feels a lot like Beard. A coach who’s been in the game a while and sees Miami as his best job yet. It’s a totally different energy compared to a guy like Addae who maybe viewed (editorializing on my part) as a step down from UGA.

Plus, either Guidry is more involved or Chevis’s experience with Guidry allows him to help recruits visualize themselves in the system a substantially higher and clearer level.

That part

Chevis coaches Abraham at Marshall the past couple of years. Hopefully, our corner play this year will lead to more results on the trail…

Nah. Addae just showed no effort into the social side of it all. Whether it was recruiting or with his own position groups. He was here to coach & that was that. No effort at all in building relationships with players or recruits.

Can’t be an *******, a recluse, and antisocial all at the same time.

One of those would cripple a corporate career, and two of them would render you unemployable.

He’s going to fail in the pros too becase he jus my can’t build relationships. He’ll just get a longer runway because pros don’t need to be recruited
