He made Kansas's CBs look respectable and Marshall had one of the best DB units in the country while he was there. I think it's a personnel/injury problem more than coaching

EDIT - Chevis is miles ahead of Rumph let's not get carried away yall
Foh , our dbs never looked that bad under rumph

Mind boggling literally
The guy looked like he did not know his assignment a HIGH percentage of times, multiple times CB would look up after big play with hands up and #7 would be right there like **** YOU, I do what I want because I never get benched..

The fact Guidry took up for him in gator game then caped for him in Cal and then in UL when we dropped 8 and he ran completely out of his zone playing his own defense on TD pass where he vacated and he still played.. NO WORDS.

None of the CB's were his.

He didn't recruit or sign, a single starting CB on this roster. These are all Addae's Corners.

That's like blaming Mario Cristobal for not being able to win with Manny Diaz's team in 2022.

TrumpyCane thought Dyoni Hill was his

How awful must bill be to not have played yesterday?

They need to force him to transfer he’s that bad. I’ve never seen a player that’s as terrible as Jaden Harris. He had the worst safety season any player Miami has ever had.

He is the one D coach that is hard to criticize to much. I assume he gets some blame on Hill being brought in. Guidry is getting the S blame. I would think Guidry played a role in Powell and Hill being brought in. Powell looked like a different player at UW playing mostly Nichel and did they see how slow he was? How come players looked so different on other teams? How come the whole D regressed across the board? Guidry only ran a version of his attacking style of D at UF and the 2nd half of Wake all season. That tells you everything on his thoughts on our back end talent. No interest in rewatching non P4 games to see. I get he couldn't run his D, but the rest of his failures are unexceptable.
DL?
LB?
These coaches have to coach his D which may not be how they would do it. Does Taylor want his edge in coverage? Does D Nick want his Will or the S setting the edge because the edge is stunting all game? At the same time, their is still clearly position coaching failures. If I am evaluating D position coaches, none get a above average grade. That might be to kind.

Are we concerned that Guidry coaches the safeties and even Kam took a step back last year? That one sticks out to me as especially concerning.

Why are his safeties struggling so much?

New DC likely wants their own LB/DB coach. DLine doesn’t need anything special/different really from the DC perspective. Imo if we get new DC only one that stays is maybe Taylor. Nicholson gets a lot of love but idk if he survives

Also keep in mind, he only coaches CB. Guidry handles safeties and he was rocking with Jaden #7 ALL SEASON LONG, TIL WHEELS FALL OFF..

#7 could do no wrong and Guidry will put him out there..

When the star whores start *****ing about all the 3 stars commits, maybe now some will be a bit more objective instead of going full "I like his film, diamond in the rough" mode.

It's me, I'm a star *****.
