Chantz Williams setting records in weight room

1st pic looks like the fat guy from PM Dawn...2nd pic looks swoll.

Yep. I watched a bunch of his videos on YouTube of him explaining his training philosophy. He basically created an algorithm of physical benchmarks for every position group to reach regarding maximizing their physical potentials. I like Feeley but Hester is on a whole different level as a strength coach.
Because he has a YT channel?

McCloud. Who is at his probably more fitted position. And he is serviceable. If you base quality off of last year. Sure. But this was a full year of off-season s&c and a actual true spring and summer. And in a full fall camp. Those guys will have improved a lot
I do not share your optimism of McCloud. I saw him get beat to the edge by Ok St slow *** qb anytime they wanted to.

He was playing a position for the 1st time since HS. I'm not saying he is going to be good but you cant judge him off that game.

outside of phillips and rousseau chantz is by far the most athletic edge we have had in a while. Right now it’s about refining his technique as a pass rusher which will happen. He’s the most gifted dend on the roster right now

I’m a huge fan of Chantz. I thought he was the #1 recruit in the 20 class (Chaney 2 and Rivers 3).

He tests off the charts. In year 2, he should be really good. In Simpson, I trust.

  • "The sole pursuit of max strength numbers is a disservice to the development of your athletes.

  • Develop your athletes’ abilities to move, and move fast, above everything else in training."
That's from Kurt Hester... I don't want to post the link for the interview...Not sure if that's allowed but anyone here interested in S&C should look up his stuff and read.. Really good S&C guy..... Thought we had a shot with him before we got Feeley but he wanted to stay in La.Tech.... Then his guys beat us in a bowl 14-0... It was obvious that they were in way better shape than we were....
Words of wisdom, but remember: you have to lift heavy to get bulky.

I thought Harvey was up there. Not a super freak but he's a plus athlete I think.
