then JIMMY MURPHY!
150?! Holy chitIf I remember correctly Oregon fans complained about injuries, I dont know if they wanted to blame S&C coach or Mario but if you want physical teams you have to do it in practice. This is gonna happen. They went into OSU and beat them so the result is there but they were missing some of their best players too..
150 play scrimmages, people will get banged up but what can you do. Have to take the pro with cons. Want to be physical, well guys will get banged up.
You get hurt playing football when you don’t go full speed & you’re lollygagging. It’s a collision sport. Somethings just aren’t meant to be. Feel bad for the young man & his family, but there is more to lfe than toting the rock. He will be successful regardlessYall wanted more physical practices, you got it. This is how Mario practices are. This is why Oregon was missing half their team when they played Ohio St
Please name the s& c coach that no injuries occurred during a season. Injuries will never stop happening in football.I trust you, thanks. Was just going off the wording of the report. This still needs to be something we keep an eye on throughout the off-season and during the season.
Soft tissue? Non-contact? Contact? Please name the s& c coach that no injuries occurred during a season. Injuries will never stop happening in football.
The problem with this argument is that "people get banged up" playing football doesn't tell the whole story, even though it's a true statement. But what happens when, instead of a variety of different types of injuries that you'd expect to see, you see the same type of injury occur over and over, or within the same position group? When 4/5 injuries you see (just throwing a number out there) are ACL-related, there's a now an issue that goes beyond random chance and you have to start looking at statistical significance as to why that's the case. Same thought process if it was shoulder problems, hip issues, etc. This is why data and analytics are so helpful in today's game.If I remember correctly Oregon fans complained about injuries, I dont know if they wanted to blame S&C coach or Mario but if you want physical teams you have to do it in practice. I never once made the argument that it was injuries in general, don't misrepresent what I'm saying. I'm talking about a very specific type of injury which is a non-contact knee injury. Please name the s& c coach that no injuries occurred during a season. Anyone think the practices have maybe become too physical?
Last year we lost two backs during the season, not before the season like now.
On the other hand, maybe the rewards of physicality exceed the risks of injury.
Running backs are the most vulnerable position…
But you don't totally abandon the run ... UM has running backs and a couple of guys playing other positions that ARE excellent RB's as well. So ... maybe you don't try to be 60% / 40% run / pass ... but maybe 50/50. With slightly better run blocking this year and the guys WE DO have ... that could be very effective in most games. Maybe A&M and Clemson become 45/55 run pass.I don't blame them for thinking that way and they are addressing this in recruiting, but we don't have the personnel for it in 2022 in my opinion. We'll remain a finesse team this year no matter how hard we try to hammer a square peg into a round hole.
**** I bet marshan feel like a ******* idiot nowMutombo and myself have said it’s not a knee. His wording is just bad. Which is quite the statement coming from me.
About clarke.....Marcus Clarke, Chris Graves, Malik Curtis played offense in HS. Maybe give one of them a look at RB.
Shame that ACL U is already taken. The problem with this argument is that "people get banged up" playing football doesn't tell the whole story, even though it's a true statement. Maryland is now up to 6 QB ACL tears in 7 years
The Terps’ recent QB injury history is brutal.www.sbnation.com

Impact injuries are completely different and are part of the game, but that's not what I'm referring to.
Somebody’s got to be the *******, so I guess that somebody is me.
Not Chaney’s fault he got hurt and lord knows, I feel bad for the kid.
At the same time, durability matters, especially for a RB. This kid has NFL skills, but the league will care and think he lacks durability. Even though it’s not his fault. His body just isn’t built for it. Some people get hurt more easily than others. The league will care, and it will matter for him and his future paydays. Sucks but it’s facts.
