At the end of the day, it’s up to each individual poster to decide for themselves what they believe in. That goes for coaches, posts on a message board, etc.So wait, you're mad at CIS or Mario for your expectations not being met?
No one is willing ****!! “Committed” Kids are taking visits and making public comments about how they still have to make a “decision”.No one is moving goalposts. We currently have 3 highly rated WR committed despite two straight years of atrocious offensive performance. That's beyond impressive if you ask me (kudos to Beard for that) yet you have a large group of posters in every thread attempting to will kids flipping into existence.
Ok... so the slurpers are moving goalposts after buying high expectations, and the mopers are refusing to lower their high expectations they bought after being fed bull****?Mad? Me? Nah, but it does seem like there are people upset in here at the illusion of possible flipping. People are seeing ghosts... People seem shook...
Perhaps it is due to all the peacocking posters did....those birds are looking over their shoulders like turkeys the week before Thanksgiving...
It’s just more attacking the fans for expecting their $8 million per year elite recruiter head coach, whose saving grace is supposed to be recruiting, to recruit and close like it. He may close yet. That’s to be seen.No one is willing ****!! “Committed” Kids are taking visits and making public comments about how they still have to make a “decision”.
That’s being discussed just like when a kid committed elsewhere does the same **** and is met by a barrage of posters weirdly claiming to have a boner at the potential flip.
Or is the official edict here that we are only allowed to discuss potential flips to us while completely ignoring what our commits are doing no matter how unlikely a flip may be????
Same CIS who sold you yours! But I already returned mine for a full refund...Who sold you yours??
Can’t speak for everyone but it’s not entirely about how the season has gone for me. It’s the direction we’re headed towards, and it looks eerily similar to the past, except we’re paying 80 mil this time.Ok... so the slurpers are moving goalposts after buying high expectations, and the mopers are refusing to lower their high expectations they bought after being fed bull****?
Don't get me wrong, I was hoping the DL hype was real too, didn't pan out like we hoped, but I still don't feel the need to spew diarrhea in every single thread. Can he play DT? Is he fyzical? Evals bros! 3* special etc etc etc was funny the first few times. But now...

Yea everyone hating on Dawson hasn’t been the best but cmon the yards are there to at least sellWe have 3 wr’s over 500 yards with **** qb play. If they can’t see that not sure they were ever sold.
None of that is under our control. The only thing we can control is how we deal with it.Can’t speak for everyone but it’s not entirely about how the season has gone for me. It’s the direction we’re headed towards, and it looks eerily similar to the past, except we’re paying 80 mil this time.
Now don’t get me wrong, the season is a Louisville loss away from being extremely disappointing, especially considering how our OL has played + the emergence of the defense post UNC. If you would have told me we’d beat A&M and Clemson, but finish no better than 7-5, I’d say you’re on PCP mixed with heroine. Lose Louisville and BC, and I fear recruiting will suffer even more. It’s oblivious to think otherwise.
As it stands, and again there’s still time to alleviate plenty of these issues…
- Underwhelming recruiting class lacking several difference makers at key positions (more quantity than quality imo)
- One of the worst QB rooms in all of P5
- Two whiffs at OC (unless it’s due to Mario meddling, which if that’s the case, it’s a larger issue)
- A heavy reliance on the portal in ‘24, where we haven’t exactly hit on most of our guys last two cycles (evals)?
It’s concerning. Maybe the complaining is overdone sure, but so are the excuses for why we’re in this position. Think it works both ways.
It can all be fixed if…we win on the field and recruit better players. Very simple.
Sadly I’m pretty big on personal accountability so I have no one else to blame but myself for foolishly believing we’d be much further along than we are now.Same CIS who sold you yours! But I already returned mine for a full refund...
And even more out there with better qb play. Guys have been open just bad reads and poor throws.Yea everyone hating on Dawson hasn’t been the best but cmon the yards are there to at least sell
Kneeling isn't allowed on the Sun.What’s more pathetic is that we have a legion of posters on this site actively rooting for kids to flip because it aligns with their agendas. The ‘fyzical’ minions here can get launched into the sun.
Look at the posts when news broke he was interested in Ole Miss, there were def more than a few posters happy it was Lane who might flip him
Let’s just be real
Were they "happy" it was Lane who might flip him, or taking a shot at the guys who ****ed on Lane as a potential HC hire in 2021 because "Lane can't recruit"?
We have multiple posters in game day threads actively hoping Lane loses games and peacocking when he does, just so they can believe they were "right" to back Mario over Lane as the HC hire. Think about that for a second. Canes fans rooting for UGA and Alabama -- two programs that have been steady taking blue chips from our backyard for years now -- to beat Ole Miss.
People get so dug in on their opinions that they disregard new information/data (or, even worse, they attempt to rationalize/discredit/attack data that contradicts their opinions). They care more about being right than what's good for the team, including bending over backwards to support individuals who are harming the program because he's "their guy". It happens all over the place, on both sides of these arguments.
Lmao what . Is Lane an alum? Why would anyone care if people are rooting against him?
And btw, the guy is negative recruiting against the school we root for. So who is really harming the program here? But congrats about being right about him I guess!
A lot to unpack here...
1. You'd root for Lane if he was an alum coaching at an SEC school? That seems weird, but may explain why so many are willing to defy logic to shield Mario from any criticism.
2. When a UM fan is rooting for Alabama and UGA over Ole Miss, they're being (at best) myopic. If you don't understand why that's true, go back over the last 5-10 years and tell me how many South Florida blue chip players UM has lost to those schools versus Ole Miss.
3. Negatively recruiting against UM? Lol. Let me explain something to you: Every. Coach. Is. Negatively. Recruiting. Against. UM.
4. Even worse than anything any opposing HC could ever say, our on-field performance the last two years is negatively recruiting against UM. Which goes to your question about who is actually harming the program.
5. All that said, I do think it's pretty hilarious you read my post and decided to conclude yours the way you did. It makes my original point more clearly than anything I could have typed.

To add to point 3, we negatively recruit against everyone as well.
It's funny to me that people get all mad at Lance's comments about who produces WR's. That's called selling your school and highlighting it's accomplishment. In the same breath, he paid respect to OSU. The next breath, he paid us a compliment by applauding Mario and his production on the OL.
I find it hilarious that people got all upset about what Chance said he said. Is it not true? Should he not point out his accomplishment as a coach? That was a fair take.
