They ALREADY HAVE A BUNCH OF D1 KIDS, that's my point. The issue (or problem) is that they won't allow him to bring in more.
Sounds like greed to me. Typical STA ****. They can't coach the 10 D1 kids they have right now to victory?
Sucks to say, because it's making some avg/below avg coaches look good.
You won't win a state championship in that class with last years roster. Jacksonville Trinity Christian has won the 3A championship every year since 2010 (I think). They have at least 1 5-star every year, and probably 20 D1 kids. They lost one game and it was to a loaded Buford Ga. team (OOS teams with good lineman usually wreck SFL teams)
When's the last time that a loaded team got upset in the state championship by an underdog with just a margin of talent?
This is just the status quo. They HAVE to win states or they're a bust. If they bust, then STA and AHP will call them up and tell them to come play for a proven winner. You have kids leaving IMG, AHP, other OOS/in-state contenders to go STA. Broward just seems really different. Patience to build a program doesn't seem practical. Every public school state champ or even contender comes out of nowhere, and then the program becomes average in a few years. There is no long-term building of a public school state championship program in broward.
7v7 elite teams like SFL Express and fire have made it even tougher now with the new mentality that everyone wants to be cool with each other. What serious rivalries now exist in broward?
