Chad Wilson

I think the 7 on 7 sfla express guy has more pull than Cris Carter. Dude actually shuttles these kids out there to OHio.Why you think Sanguinetti and company camped in ohio recently.

These 7v7 are quickly becoming the AAU of college football. This is how they get around recruiting rules and the "coaches " are the handlers getting a cut when they sign

Yeah but Carter opened the flood gates back when his son played at STA just like that ex Miramar coach who feed his players to west Virginia

We don't have to worry about this crap anymore with Richt recruiting. We'll always have top 10 classes going forward, and once it starts to build (see Clemson 6 -8 years ago) it'll be top 5 classes.

The handlers lose power when kids are fighting to get in our classes. It'll take some time but our rise is the handler's demise.

I mean 5 out of the 25-30 P5 teams that are actually relevant is a pretty decent amount. However, we where talking about dropping bags and outbidding opponents. That is money that comes from boosters. I can think of atleast 20 schools that have more and wealthier boosters than them that are actually interested in football. Obviously the Ivys would be excluded in my list.

No you can't.

Seriously, what would you base it on? How do you tell what boosters pay or are willing to pay? And even if you find a list of alumni net worth, dropping bags is an under the table kind of thing. Maybe school A has all the boosters but they don't want to do anything possibly illegal while school B has fewer boosters but they DGAF.

There is no way to judge other than by what a school's boosters actually pay kids, and that info isn't published anywhere as far as I know. If it were, I imagine the NCAA might have found it by now. Even they aren't that incompetent.

I think he meant outbid, bama is willing to go beyond no matter who makes more than them they are willing to do whats best for the fb program.

That may very well be, but as I said to him, nobody knows that. At least nobody here. We're all just guessing who pays what to whom, so I don't see how you can rank schools or compare them except to say bama gets all the croots, I guess they pay the most.

I think The mentors are far more of the issue, if you are a baller coaches are going to find you regardless whether you are on the internet or not. There are just some shady mentors on the scene in south Florida and are looking to capitalize on certain kids going to other schools outside of the U and the state for that matter

It’s not even about being shady. Y’all always talking about being shady. Some of are of course.

It’s a different dynamic. A lot & I do mean a lot of the guys that coach & influence kids in high school ball did not play for Miami. These are former south Florida football players turned coaches but have no allegiance to Miami bc they didn’t attend or play there.

I think the general feeling is that while we want every top kid steered towards Miami, we understand that not every "mentor" will do that...and that's ok.

What's shady is doing interviews about how you're only trying to help the kids out, then taking payments to steer them towards a particular school. This is like politics (don't be a bunch of dckheads and start a political argument right now) in that many "mentors" probably start off with good intentions but somewhere along the way they decide they can take money but still stay clean. They tell themselves their judgement won't be influenced by that money, but of course they're wrong.

Eventually you've got a bunch of self-serving aholes preying on kids and their families to make a buck. If you don't think that's shady or you think it's only a few guys then I would respectfully suggest that you aren't fcking paying attention.

Win and they will come. The top guys we wanted and whiffed went to Clemson, Bama, and UGA. The teams that beat us or played for the NC. We will always battle with FSU/UF here and there and that's normal.

Butch leaving destroyed the program along with Shalala coming in. Chad is an active participate in this though, honestly, not sure i even blame him that his alma matar wouldnt offer Quincy.

It's amazing how utterly ignorant our fanbase is in regards to what a University President does, and how their job has NOTHING, and I repeat NOTHING to do with football. Your beef is with the BOT, you know, Dr. Shalala's bosses, that allowed the athletic department to stay mired in the eighties, as schools around us started going ham on spending. Miami cannot, and will not compete dollar for dollar with the semi-pro teams, the best Miami can do is stay in the conversation, and find ways to maximize the dollars that are coming in.

It's amazing that the fans, most of which barely contribute beyond the cost of their season tickets look toward the alumni base to do all the heavy lifting. The University of Alabama produces more alumni in one year than Miami does in four. Let that marinate. Combine that with a fanbase that is rabid, and it makes sense why Alabama can do whatever they want.

We can't know for sure, but it would be ridiculous to think that a school with an endowment smaller than 700 million dollars, whos biggest booster is Paul Bryant Jr. would have the most money to drop on bags. Quite a few p5 schools have 15+ boosters richer than Bamas biggest booster. Bamas alumni base is also significantly poorer than a lot of other P5 schools. Even if you look at the legal donations by school(click the name of the school and look at contributions. All of the schools you would expect recieved larger booster donations towards atheltics than bama plus the schools you wouldn't expect like Michigan state, UGA, FSU, South Carolina, Louisville and a lot of other schools (and this list is only public schools).

I'm not seeing this mass exodus of talent out of Florida. Since 2000, if has won 2. FSU 1. UM 1*

****, the CEO of Apple went to Auburn.
That don't mean crap... Unless you seem them flying the *** pride flag out there on game day, then you know he threw out the big bucks!

Gore's mom was sick, it was the main reason he stayed home. So for the article to say he would not have signed at miami in 2017 is not only false, but an attack on frank.

Thats also a myth. Ohio State always had a foot in the door in Broward County. Broward County has always been a wide open area. For example Dillard high shool which was/is considered a great producer of talent in the county historically is an AUBURN feeder school. There were sta kids at OSU before Cris Carter was a coach. I played against Nate Salley and Chris Gamble.
Miramar coach didnt actually just "feed" his kids to WVU. Considering we got Lewis, Jermaine Grace, Tracy. We didnt recruit Geno Smith, we didnt recruit Stedman Bailey, and got beat out for Ivan Mccartney. The kids um didnt want.... went to WVU. Cogdell just sent us Wilder.

Which is why you have to consider the source & the main reason why this type of propaganda from a known Anti-Miami Cane traitor should never be posted here.

Alabama is committed as an entire state to that football program(Outside of the Auburn people), that's how they can manage to find the money, despite not having nearly as much as other places. UA football is all they have, and they spend accordingly. These are people that are willing to buy condos next to the stadium, just so they can have somewhere to tailgate six times per year. Condos that are going for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Believe me I know that. My original statement was that there are alot of programs that COULD outbid Bama if they wanted to.

With an interesting article

at the end of the day in some of these kids decision not to come to Miami, a lot of other things be at play more than we will ever know.

Pieces of garbage like Mr. Wilson are one of the biggest problems in the whole recruiting game. Grown adults trying to push their propaganda are kids that he should not even be communicating with is what is wrong.
