Chad thomas canes cut up highlight

He cares about his music as much as football.

If he was to focus on solely football sky's the limit.

Forget his interest, just play football right? Come on man... smh he can do both and be great

He can make millions playing football if he were to have laser focus for just 2-3 years at Miami, music can be a hobby, but he imo spends a lot of time focusing on music. It's his life he can do whatever he wants, but imo more time invested in music= not tapping into full potential for football.
You don't play football all day everyday, he does what he's supposed to do and in his free time does music or late a night. What's wrong with that?

Sorry but someone truly dedicated/obsessed with football cannot be making the about of music he does. Others live in the gym. There's no way he can. And that's fine - I think it's great that he's very good at something else and pursuing that. Football isn't forever. However, there is no doubt one could argue he could be better than he is now if he was 100% focused football. How do you not understand that?

I understand that but you act like he's not working out everyday and only working on music. That's definitely not the case

No **** - not working does not fly with this staff. I think that's why you saw Chad take a big step forward last year ALONG with finally receiving some proper coaching. I expect another big step this year as well.

He needs to make the same jump this year that he made last. Then he'll have millions to funnel into his music career.

I'm laughing so hard at some of you guys who think Chad's love and effort in his music is hindering his football growth. I KNEW him personally, lets just say that you have no clue about his life so don't just throw out random assumptions. Dude is ALWAYS perfecting his craft on the field, and his "rest day" is perfecting his musical endeavors.

That's similar to assuming DJax hasn't reached his full potential because he spends too much time giving back to where he came from. These players know that the NFL paycheck is only going to make their passion easier to pursue, and that they will have their passion with or without football...but they both have it in their head that they NEED to be on that field because of who they are.

It's obviously extremely stupid. But we all know come draft season, thats going to be talked about. You make a good point comparing it to someone who does a lot of charity work.

Also on a side note, how come Chad doesn't have any HL videos on Youtube?

People who look at those highlights and don't acknowledge elite plays at :32 and :56 must think DEs are supposed to only play 9-technique, get upfield, bend and sack the QB. If he wants it, Chad Thomas will have a long career knifing in as a 5 or 7-tech LDE in the NFL. He can also be a menace in sub-packages.

If we can't question our own players during the off season, what exactly are we supposed to do?

They have their mind made up from his first 2 years. They'll criticize the previous staff for their patty cake DL approach, while at that same time criticizing the DL for not making plays. That's why Thomas, Norton, and McIntosh still have to prove something. Also why it's easy for them to say JoJo is better, he wasn't tainted by cheeseburger play. Fact is they're all really ******* good and it's right there on tape.

I know some people look at these kids like thoroughbreds or something you can whip and make work to death but I never heard of chad missing a practice or skipping workouts or anything of that sort. Never heard a coach complain about him or effort, or him being disciplined for any issues with any coach. What I do know is in previous scheme it really wasnt possible to pile up stats and last year he played much better and stepped his game up. He was a full time player and even played with injuries. To me that doesnt sound like someone who is not putting effort.

If you only want to look at it from a $$ perspective, he has been working on his craft where he is getting producer credits on top artist albums, that is nothing to scoff at with what he has been able to accomplish in a whole other arena. I dont think it has been a hindrance and look forward to him having a great senior year. I know there are many who think guys can just workout all day with no rest but rest is actually one of most important things in growth and recovery. How he spends his down time building other hobbies is his deal as long as it doesnt affect him negatively. He is basically a professional musician, not a hobby. Maybe football is getting in way of that.

I am sure this is something he will have to deal with in his career as higher ups dont take to kindly to others they cant control monetarily. Its a natural assumption to think these guys just lift weights and nothing else, they have a TON of downtime, especially if they are out of school. You cant workout 8 hours a day

Joe Jackson>>chad thomas... I hate to say it but ****

Joe Jackson is the uncorrupted Chad Thomas. The only difference is JJ got a better motor/speed and Chad has longer arms. If Golden got his hands and ideology on JJ dude would of became a Jamaican patty like he did Chicklio.

Isn't Chad majoring in music?

While other people are taking sociology, he's working on his craft.

I don't believe music has impeded his development one iota.

Two years with those fat Jersey fūcks is what impeded his development and progress. Look at Chickillo. Chad's a 10 year NFL player if he wants to be and barring injury will have a great year.

don't worry its coming. CIS is filled with a bunch of people that don't know football...which is why I only respond to a selct few who I knew from Grassy who invited me to this board. Chad Thomas needs to show more, he sucks, he led the team in tfl's...but is being compared to Joe Jackson who is asked to do different things.I also don't even consider what Chad did for No frio as NONE of his dlineman put up stats in his scheme. He was asked to hold a gap. Joe Jackson wouldn't do sh*t in that scheme either.

But it is what it is on this site. Chad with another similar or strong year...will be a top 3 round pick. Chad forced plays for the same Joe Jackson you guys speak highly of. He was used as the knife on a lot of twist action from the dline and funneled plays to other guys or made the play himself. Last year grade ill give him a B.

He'll be better this year - all our defense will be better.

Like having several porch dogs - and you only throw out one porkchop?

They'll be trying to outdo each other.

This man gets it! Watch how they eat this summer.

He sets the edge for the Dline & is literally the best run defender on the team, was 2nd in sacks, lead the team in TFL's & recovers fumbles like a beast, all while playing most of the season with a broken hand.

Is one of the leaders of the entire team & one of the best overall players & only on here does he get criticized like he's average lol.
