Chad thomas canes cut up highlight

According to CIS logic, Chad Thomas & Mark Walton are average players "who need to show more", meanwhile dudes like Berrios, Linder, Edwards, Owens, McDermott & others alike are really the "great" players who are unfairly criticized.

I never understood it at first when I would see that on here, but now I'm just used to it lol.

It'll be funny when cats start nitpicking at Ahmmon, JJack & Shaq etc..

don't worry its coming. CIS is filled with a bunch of people that don't know football...which is why I only respond to a selct few who I knew from Grassy who invited me to this board. Chad Thomas needs to show more, he sucks, he led the team in tfl's...but is being compared to Joe Jackson who is asked to do different things.I also don't even consider what Chad did for No frio as NONE of his dlineman put up stats in his scheme. He was asked to hold a gap. Joe Jackson wouldn't do sh*t in that scheme either.

But it is what it is on this site. Chad with another similar or strong year...will be a top 3 round pick. Chad forced plays for the same Joe Jackson you guys speak highly of. He was used as the knife on a lot of twist action from the dline and funneled plays to other guys or made the play himself. Last year grade ill give him a B.
He sets the edge for the Dline & is literally the best run defender on the team, was 2nd in sacks, lead the team in TFL's & recovers fumbles like a beast, all while playing most of the season with a broken hand.

Is one of the leaders of the entire team & one of the best overall players & only on here does he get criticized like he's average lol.

yup and half of the time its no mention of his play...its a comparison to jOE jACKSON FOR WHATEVER REASON .

Chad has always reminded me of a slightly less athletic Justin Tuck.

I haven't heard the tuck comp but i do like it. Think too many here are overly eager to praise JJ and knock chad without realizing chad deserves lots of credit for JJ's production. not a knock on JJ - his production and ceiling are elite at this point in his career. but i couldn't agree more with your comment about the Dline technique and chad funneling plays to others. its a shame ppl here don't watch enough tape/dont have enough knowledge of DL play to recognize what they are seeing.

i'm very excited to see chad develop another year under kool. more experience + time with kool + development of other UM DL = potentially great year for Chad (both production wise and draft stock wise)

Dude did exactly what he was supposed to do after having subpar fresh-soph years. If he can stay healthy and even have a 10% increase in production he's a day 2 guy for sure.

Chad Thomas is a very good fb player that flashes elite at times.... that chase down up the field destroying the QB causing a fumble is as elite as you can get. I expect him to improve and make even a bigger impact this year.

I'm laughing so hard at some of you guys who think Chad's love and effort in his music is hindering his football growth. I KNEW him personally, lets just say that you have no clue about his life so don't just throw out random assumptions. Dude is ALWAYS perfecting his craft on the field, and his "rest day" is perfecting his musical endeavors.

That's similar to assuming DJax hasn't reached his full potential because he spends too much time giving back to where he came from. These players know that the NFL paycheck is only going to make their passion easier to pursue, and that they will have their passion with or without football...but they both have it in their head that they NEED to be on that field because of who they are.

Thomas was an integral part of a very good defensive line. If he continues to progress I expect a big season. Need to remember he played a chunk of the season with a broken hand.

I love the physical size and edge he brings. I envision he wears down the RT all game then bring in our speed DE's to fly around the edge

This will be the year CT9 blows up in terms of being one of CFB's top passer rushers!! Miami has a lot of talent on the defensive line, so it will be plays where CT9 just looks like he was in the right place at times, but I really believe he will be our top DLineman!! These guy has played under NoD for 2 of his 3 years here at Miami, that's enough said!! Now last year, he flashed he ability in Diaz's system and with these being year 2, for him in this system, I expect a really good year.. He should definitely double his sacks from a year ago, and just be the beast we know him to be..
