This one gonna' be over quick. This loss by Rocky Top would mean we're zip for three today. but that was to be expected.
An 8 team playoff would be sufficient. There are 5 or 6 teams that have a real shot at winning it all every year. Everyone else is just chum.

It hurts to watch him playing for those douchebags, that's all

Might be checking NetFlix for a good movie around halftime the way this thing started.
That's how the playoffs have been all weekend. Watch first quarter... looking like a blowout so I do other things, come back with 3:00 left in the game and the blowout remains intact. I have saved myself so much time with this hack.

Its been a hot minute, but Peterson and Cook are up there with JJ. All three should have been here, but missteps happened with each.

In hindsight,we would have given Cam an extra mil or two to commit right away and then found a way to give 2x whatever our offer was to keep JJ here. Even with our shortcomings on defense, our offense would have been unstoppable. Cam to X, JJ, George and Arroyo with Horton coming off the bench?

The whole system is flawed but hey I expect nothing lessf from college football and its de facto commissioner ESPN

Indiana had no business getting in and today we have the Big Ten teams getting free home games for playing in that still garbage Conference.

Ohio St basically never lost to Michigan, in the last game of the season which is supposed to carry playoff relevant weight, and they lost as a 20 pt home favorite. But lets give them a home game simply because they had 2 losses and Tennessee had 3 albeit in a better Conference. The other reason is all we heard was wouldn't it be cool to see southern teams having to play cold weather games in the new playoff format. That shouldn't be a factor in deciding seeding but it is

Whats also unfair is that not only do Notre Dame, Penn St and Ohio St get these home games but if they all win they then play the higher seeds on neutral fields thus the higher seed who is more deserved of a home game to have the advantage now does not.

Ohio St for all intents and purposes now gets Oregon on a neutral field rather than at Oregon, the #1 seed

The whole thing is stupid
You nailed it
ESPN is running this entire thing
And as I said a few weeks ago
They would like nothing more than 5 b10 6 SEC and ND every year
They are basically getting that w the last 8 and neutralizing the home field advantage as they try to provide cover for the **** b10 teams and ensure they don’t have to go play a real road game

Pretty sure our offer to JSmith was well above what anyone else (OSU) offered and he went to OSU b/c they've put a ton of WRs in the 1/2nd rd of the draft the last 5 years. By all accounts he's got a pro mentality and out works everyone so a couple million in NIL over 3 years means squat compared to the NFL development.
