CFP Quarterfinals: UGA vs Notre Dame 1/2

Let's ask ourselves this question:

Assume our Defense had a pulse. Say, they're middle of the pack, not Pop Warner like we saw the last two games, especially at Syracuse. Our historical defense this year would have gotten us bounced in the first round. So lets assume we play a couple of notches on D better than we did and beat either GT or Syracuse.

How far does a loaded Canes offense and a middle of the pack Canes defense get us in this playoff situation? Do we get past the likes of ASU, or was our "group" too forbidding?

I ask this now that everyone has seen the full Body of Work of all the teams and given our offensive performance in Orlando this year.

The positive impact here, if it exists, will in the power rankings next year, that don't start giving the SEC a 1+ game advantage over everyone else. It also supports the committee making the right decisions, and not caving to the SEC/ESPN pressure.

We have a middle of the pack defense I honestly think we could win it all. Our O was that prolific the entire year sans GTech and I cringe at the thought of how much better we would have been with 4 on our squad. What a colossal failure by Mario squandering this O with the product put out by the D.

We tried than with Mandy and Blandy

We failed when we finally hired someone with no connection to the program- Al Folden. So should UM never hire from the outside again?

We needed a scheme focused coach who could get the most out of the talent. Diaz didn’t on his side of the ball. Lashlee did.

Man, watching that ND defense play....THAT'S what I want a Miami defense to look like.

Fast. Aggressive. Rocked up. Flying to the ball.

I can see the power shifting from the SEC to the Big.
And the further erosion of the ACC.
What's interesting is the Same Old Faces doing the deed..
