I don't know if you're looking for a smart quip but I'll take a shot at a serious answer if that's what you're looking for... They're frustrated with the system, and their anger stems from perceived tampering and inconsistent, unenforceable rules. We're just caught in the crossfire because we're on the opposing/winning side (our fans are also ruthless trolls, lol.) Ultimately, money talks—they see themselves as superior and righteous, but in the "Wild West", anything goes.

"Being in the Portal" means you can TALK to other schools about scholarship offers. If a kid went dark on his old school and just showed up at a new school, that is TECHNICALLY possible.

However, I would point out that (a) the transfer application process for non-athletes takes more time, and (b) the actual expectation that someone is ready to cut a $40K check by January 22nd for tuition, housing, books, and fees....well, those are some tall orders.

If Wisconsin can REFUSE to process Xavier Lucas's Portal paperwork, how do we know they won't also "delay" the release of...
