CB Trajan Bandy Commits......

I think Bandy is the perfect type of CB for today's game. Might not be the tallest CB, but can cover the quick slot guys, and has great ball skills.

IMO he should be offered and a take. Reminds me of Malcolm Butler from the Patriots

Long way to go. I'm just gonna wait this one out. Since Henderson said he's strong to Miami, I'll include him, so we waiting on S. Davis, Brini and Marco at CB. We must get two of the three if we're going to reestablish control of our turf. If kids see top talent leaving it'll make them give leaving Miami some consideration. Not a good omen when you need to rebuild.

Need some back up plans if Henderson flips to the turds.

he aint no back up plan the kid is the best corner in dade

Jury is out on this. Read somewhere that he didnt exactly tear up the camp circuit although he didnt embarass himself either. His size is an issue. Nothing wrong with admitting that. I like the kid but I cant say I like his long term potential more then Brini, Davis, Henderson or Wilson.

This wouldnt be a conversation if he was 5'11. But then again Nick Roberts is 5'11 185 and people are still saying that he is not a take for us right now. So I dont know what the staffs plans are.

What are you talking about he has been destroying camps, and has done more at the CB position than the kids you mentioned, hes way more proven, dont get me wrong those kids have potential but they havent really done anything yet

Really wonder if we could pull Bandy after we have put him in the back seat for so long

Personally...
I would want to finish our DB class with:
Henderson
Brini/Roberts
Bandy
Carter
Delpit

I think Roberts and Bandy are the best 2 CB talents we are after right now(again, my personal opinion), but unfortunately we can't have 3 of our top 4 CB's at 5'9~5'11

Hmmm. Maybe staff is trying to trade Roberts for Bandy.

Gotta think that landing Bandy will help with Henderson (high school teammates)

I read on here that he didn't look to hot at the Opening. Like I said, the jury is out. But to come on here and say he is the Best DB in south fla outright? I don't know about that.

The market for 5'10 corners is shrinking. **** was there a corner chosen in the 1st round under 6'0? The NFL standard is forcing colleges to recruit taller kids at corner. There is obviously a role for him on any defense but you can't make him your #1 corner in this Diaz scheme.

LULZ He was invited to the opening in Oregon and stateoftheU said that he was the best DB at the event. Diaz runs a heavy cover-3 scheme, which is the main defense for Columbus . Bandy has been the most productive corner in dade against the best competition, while usually playing in the same base coverage of Diaz's defense.

7 of the CB's taken in the first 100 players in the draft this year were 5'10". W.Jackson(22nd), V. Hargreaves(23rd), Cyrus Jones (60th), Mackenzie Alexander (54th), keivarae Russell (74th), Kendall Fuller( 84th), & Brandon Williams(94th).

8 total DBs in the first 100 with Karl Joseph (14th).

SMH, he was invited to the openning and won MVP at multiple camps, and from his production on the field and at camps yes he is the best DB in florida, what have those other kids done?

I read on this very site that Bandy was getting worked by Jeudy. Maybe it wasnt the Opening but I know I read that here.

I said 1st round. William Jackson is 6'0 last time I checked Nfl.com and espn.com... I will give you Hargreaves but there were scouts who werent 100% sold on him because of that very reason AND because he had short arms. It was a definite knock.

You can call it what you want but there is a reason that FSU, UF and UM have not offered him. The kid is the Goods I will admit. But lets not act like that the reason why the Big 3 have slow played him isnt because he is 5'10. (And I read that he might be 5'9 1/2) If he had elite speed and quickness and change of direction like Phillip Buchanon did at 5'10 then we might be having a different conversation. But he doesnt.

If we have a chance to take 4 DBs and we can get the "wish list" of (Brini, Davis, Henderson, and Wilson) then Bandy is out and I wouldnt feel bad at all. Now as one of those kids drops off the board, I add a kid like Bandy to the fold. Which it sounds like that is what the staff is doing now that SDavis seems to be pointing toward Gatorland.

Please do..I know im not going crazy. I know someone posted on here that he was lukewarm at the Opening and had a problem keeping up with the big time WRs (Jeudy mainly). Maybe it was another camp though.

VH3 still went 11th, and that's still 7 total DBs 5'10" or under in the top100. Bandy's fast enough for Bama (legit offer, as Pruitt offered him both at UGA and Bama) and every other OOS program. The big3 not offering doesn't mean what it used to, as OOS programs now have more access to our local recruits.

Bandy gets coveted invite to The Opening
Aside from his athleticism and playmaking ability, one thing that separates Columbus four-star cornerback and Oklahoma commit Trajan Bandy from others is his work ethic.

So it's no surprise that when he found out he was invited to The Opening on Sunday night he was actually in the middle of a workout.

When he received the message from Student Sports event coordinator Eugene Jackson breaking the good news, which became official Monday morning, his reaction played even more to that work ethic.

"I was excited for the moment, but I just kept working out and going hard," Bandy said.

Bandy had two interceptions and impressed onlookers at the Miami Opening Regionals at Plantation American Heritage on March 6, even being dubbed the "alpha dog" of those competing in a 247 Sports article. Somehow, though, he was not one of the six to "get open" in announcements immediately following the event.

That all changed on Monday.

"I never doubted myself. I just prayed on it, and I just kept grinding every single day," Bandy says. "I had people doubting me, but I just ignore them."

Now Bandy will get the opportunity to showcase his abilities in the spotlight of probably the greatest collection of high school talent in the nation.

"I just want to go out there and show that I am an elite cornerback and your size (Bandy is 5-9) doesn't matter," he says. "It's about heart and how you got passion for the game."

The Opening will be held July 5-10 at the Nike World Headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon.

Bandy would bev a great nickel here. Unfortunately it's not happening. He is very ****ed at the staff for not offering. Will not come to Miami with late offer.

LOL. Man everyone knows BAMA passes out offers all over SoFla but it aint commitable unless you go to their camp. If you are the elite of the elite, at least ONE of the Big 3 will be on you. Bandy cant get mad because we are evaluating him. According to the article posted in the thread below, Bandy is 5'9. If he was 6'1 and had 4.3 speed like his friend Chris Henderson then of course he would have an offer. Life doesnt work that way though. He has to earn his offer. If he doesnt want to do it, ***** him. He is good but he aint that **** good to not have to work for an offer.
