I’d still redshirt him. Kids too talented to rush. It also sucks because if he was an EE he’d be on the field early next year. But so would Pickett and Hanks. Truly think Pickett will be here next fall.

If he's 100% healthy for summer workouts he'll still have great chance to get on the field very early. OJ was a summer arrival and he's doing just fine.

long season, if we get a QB we will be in the running for the playoffs, he can ease in mid-season, need a full team for deep runs

Glad you mentioned that! This teams talent is better than years past but Cam Ward is so good he’s helped the issues that still exist in this program. Secondary is not strong. The talent still needs to get older and more talent needs to come in. We need another QB to compete with Williams. But also important ( because there’s not Cam Wards at QB yearly) continue to add nfl players on this roster.

think we need more portal veteran next year, Ive said a Drones would be ideal, then in 2026 the team should be loaded that the position won't be as important to chase, still need good ones, but if your team is loaded. you can make runs with the Williams of the world if they are prepared.

Right! I guess what I’m saying is, if Emory Williams is your QB, and I think he’s a solid kid, you had better have elite talent around him. As I said Ward is so Elite he is making up for problem areas and even areas on defense. Got to stack and have a monster portal group

I think we are in a really bad spot if dude is fresh off an ACL injury and playing early. I honestly can't remember our last ACL that was a quick recovery getting playing time that soon. As trash as this secondary has looked I'm going to be disappointed if we don't bring in atleast 3 people in the portal. I'm thinking it will be like the Dline this year talented freshman class behind some good portal talent or at least I hope.

That's exactly what's going to happen. Some guys will be pushed out and we're going to get some new guys in the portal. The staff gotta be kicking themselves right now for not taking that position serious during the offseason

Studs are VERY hard to come by in the portal. We would be lucky to get 1 let alone multiple impact guys in the secondary. So I expect our freshmen db's to play big roles next year.
