Injuries are a concern, his play is most definitely not lmao
No one will debate how good of a player he is. Upgrade for sure but it's the injury history that's a concern. I want this to be an Arroyo situation and he stays healthy all year

I get the frustration. I watched the same games. But every year it’s gotten better and so far this portal season he’s on track again. The real ? Is the QB. No Ward this year. But the rest of the team is coming together. Mario is relentless man. You guys can hate him all you want but I continue to believe he’s our best option.
Got to show Guidry and Jaden the door also. You cant have a defense play like they played in Atlanta with season on line and no one can set an edge or know assignment. This is Day 1 install stuff. Need serious consequences for that program altering loss. I will never forget the defensive collapse with a championship #1 in country offense that had the best NFL level QB and tuff n fizical top 5 playoff ready run game. Im gonna be sick for a looooong time. This season was wiiide open

Agree on Guidry. I’m more forgiving of Harris. Or his fault he was hung out there to dry. Just don’t want him starting again unless he actually learns the position and earns the snaps.

I'm a little worried about the offense. We'll see how this portal shakes out but we might just go with all the young bucks. I can't wait to see Lofton next year, I gotta think his one of the young guys to step up with all of these departures. Lyle, Lofton and JoJo

Cam was the best QB I have ever watched in Orange and Green, but your frustration in Atlanta should be geared more towards him and the offense. You can't take a strip sack when it's not even 3rd or 4th down with a minute to go on the last drive of the game when a wide open Arroyo is right in front of you. Defense doesn't get a pass but I put GT on Cam and the offense and Syracuse on the defense.

funny thing is that defense only gave up 28 points against Ga Tech. Its the Syracuse game that I don't ever wanna see happen again. That was like a video game, we couldn't stop them. That defense had 2 good games in the ACC vs FSU & Wake Forest. One team had a true freshman QB and the other had a QB who shouldn't have been playing (he got banged up the previous game). Guidry needs to go, I really do believe the whole ACC figured him out
I understand but I had post leading up to that week because when anyone would bring up the defense was giving up 30 points in conference play, they would say hey can those teams keep up with our offense. I would try to explain you cant expect an offense to play perfect for entire season. We cant even line up and seem confused with any movement, shift, motion. No one seems to no assignment. Just foundationally we were playing a terrible level of football, really disgusting product we were putting on field/tape.
When you excuse the defense and say an offense has to score 40+, its just too much to expect an offense to play like that every game. Then boom we get the game where we miss guys wide open, Miss a slot fade, miss TE down middle, etc. Offense didnt have it and agreed it was probably on them but the defense played a QB who couldnt throw and we seemed to be only ones who didnt get memo and NEVER adjusted. NEVER DARED THEM TO THROW BY LOADING BOX. Never made them play left handed, we just sat in base D and gave up edge every play.
watched the highlights and literally asked myself if this guy is injuried often a he's playing the run tuff

ONLY 28 points is nasty work and shows the standard we have for Defense overall. They gave up 30+ in conference play and we look at 28 points as good days work for them, that little switch in our brains to give them pass is why we are home right now gearing up for toaster bowl.
