Carson Beck

I was not against Beck before but have you seen Emory play? I can’t blame people backtracking on this topic.
So, everything we heard about Emory was BS. Didn’t need Mendoza with Emory in the house. Didn’t need a turnover machine like Beck. Even had Cam in his corner. And then his fan club saw their guy for a half and the rest is history.

Have you watched Emory attempt passes?

I dont understand. Didn't this dude just have UCL surgery? Isn't he going to be out a long time? Why would we care if he withdrew from draft? If he had UCL surgery he's not playing anytime soon

This has been discussed 4000x .... he had the same surgery as Brock Burdy, form the same Dr, and could be throwing in the Spring.

I ain't putting my eggs in the basket of a dude that just had his throwing elbow surgically repaired. There is no guarantee he recovers the same way Purdy did (who by the way is having trouble with that very same elbow right now)

If it's between Beck and Emory, my god it's a no brainer.

I will say this. I don't know what happened during that 6 game stretch where he threw 12 INTs, literally all of his INTs for the season. I watched the Florida and Texas games and he looked like TVD. He was forcing throws he didn't need to. I don't know if it's Georgia's running game, which wasn't good this year, and he felt he had to make plays. Georgia's running game was much better in 2023 and he was much, much more efficient.

If you get 2023 Beck and you fix the defense to be good, not great, I think you have a playoff team. But Beck needs to be a game manager with a strong ground game.

24-6 last year, 28-12 this year. His WRs had the most drops in CFB, and Georgia has not run the ball well. Put him at UM and he probably does more like 24-6 and that gives us a chance to win the ACC and get Nickel ready for 2026. 2026 is brutal, at SC to open, and also at Clemson and at Notre Dame. Welcome to college football Luke Nickel.
