I hear ya, but I think a third RB only marginally improves our team.

I’d spend resources on one more dynamic WR with proven production. And then continue to shore up the defense (Lucas if he ever enters, a pass rusher, etc.).

If I had to pick between another RB or a top flight WR of course it’s a WR, no question. I’d like to get one more guy in the backfield just because I think it would help if we did end up in the playoffs with as much as we like to run the football. Who knows though? Maybe CWH takes a step forward, or Pringle flashes big in the Spring. ****…maybe RB is where we move Lofton full time? For depth though…we definitely need to add another RB. We cannot be caught short on capable backfield bodies. It may not be top of the list like WR is, but we can’t ignore it.

I’d venture that the locker room is relieved that the charade is over. You genuinely thought they felt great about Emory as the next guy up? That **** was all propaganda.

No I dont. His throws against Clemson and FSU were horrendous as well. He seems to be a good fit in the locker room. Im just curious how Beck works with the team.

I would have loved Mateer, but pre-injury Beck is the better take at QB. Mateer is electric running the ball but there’s a reason Beck will be the preseason favorite to go #1 overall.

Mateer struggled at times to throw the ball against mid opponents. *IF* Beck is the same guy post rehab and has enough time to get in sync with the playbook before ND, he is the better take.

Gotta believe there will be (or already is) major transfer interest in the Spring portal with Beck being here. Stated by many, but if we get defensive improvements of almost any level, we’re not going to fall off a cliff next season. At all.

Only Lincoln Riley. Mario would be the only coach in 20 years to have 3 taken in a 7 year span since at least 2006-2026
