He’s not Cam but who gives a ****. He’s talented and he’s led a CFP team on the big stage several times.

And it gives Luke a solid year to grow and develop before we hand him the keys in ‘26.

Just need an above average Defense at this point.

The most key thing to keep in mind with this is that Carson Beck is NOT Cam Ward. But in Dawson's system, we don't need him to be.

Fix the defense with the portal additions and a new competent DC, and let Beck work with the weapons we've got and will hopefully add in the Spring portal session. As long as the DC hire and defensive portal adds aren't duds, we're a true ACCCG and playoff threat again, ladies and gents.

Regardless of who we pulled, it was always going to be like coming in behind Season 1 of True Detective. Comparisons are inevitable, but NOBODY stands a chance following that act. Can’t realistically top it. So be careful.

But even though the only way to go is down, the good news is that there’s a TON of room under that ceiling for great things because Cam was so exceptional.

But we should’ve run the ball when we were up 21-0 (ignore how we got up 21-0) so the defense couldn’t blow a 21 point lead. And that means Cam was too much. I guess. I don’t know I’m lost.
