Pretty sure this is our highest rated class since 2008. And could have been better. If 11-13 is our new "average" class (it had been like 16ish) then I'm good with that as long as we start closing some top 10 classes.

Anyone know Dabo's average class ranking over the last 3 or 4 years? I doubt it's been top 5, but maybe I'm wrong. He's evaluated great, especially on the DL, and has a great DC and great QB.

This!!!

And it took him several years to win the big one. Dudes need to stop living in the distant past. There's no **** fence when you have been bad for the last 15 years.

9-4 teams who have won one bowl game in the last decade have no business getting a top-12 class.

The expectations have been just silly. One word:

Win

This. A million.

These kids want to see WINS.

These kids weren't lost today, yesterday or last month. They were lost when Richt's ****ty *** play calling wet the bed and we lost 4 games in October that we had no business losing.

Just ask yourself this. If we win just TWO of those 4 games we likely win the Coastal, finish with 11 wins, and get a MUCH different outlook from elite recruits.

This isn't going to change. Richt is accountable. Either win on LOI day with an elite class or win big with the talent you have so that kids see there is something here worth fighting for.

I'll remind everyone, Richt is making A LOT of money by UM administration standards. Point the finger where the blame belongs.

Explain Georgia's class then. Or Maryland getting two 4* RBs.

Explain how Richt is # 4 in Top 10 classes since ESPN started ranking (since 2006) only behind Saban, Urban, and Les?

People wonder why SFL kids are such prima donnas. Well read this FN thread!

Its easier to keep Georgia kids home...in sfla MR goes up against the best recruiters and the most bags. See a difference? MR at uga is savage at UM its harder because of where we r n kids from sfla always choose to feed the fam

Oh yea... what was GT ranked again? Oh but they are just from some small back woods town. LOL.

The bottom line is kids still want to play in the SEC and some kids are scared to be away from momma.

Reality is just a hard pill to swallow for some emotionalized people.

Its gonna take more than a 9 win season to convince them that Miami is the place to be.

We have the coaches and I have seen major improvements on D. We will head into next season being ranked.

Be happy where we are at and get out of the sky is falling mentality that our former coaches have diseased you guys with.

Oh yeah and go to a game every once in a while.

You're making too much sense. Don't do it.

Every year I tell them its not about wins but for some reason people here think it is. We won five straight and smashed a top 25 team with two losses. Its not about wins bruh period

Wait!!!!!! Lemme stop you bruh..... We smashed a top 15 team

Again, solid but disappointing class. No different from Golden. Nine-win team two years from now

Hard to value your opinion if this is the read. This would be an A+ class for Golden. While we missed on several key guys, the players that signed are top to bottom legit players of varying degrees.

Check your facts. The bottom line is, Golden wasn't that horrible of a recruiter in his first full class (2012). He had a top 10-11 class. He signed Tracy Howard, Malcolm Lewis, Tyriq McCord, Duke Johnson, Deon Bush, Ereck Flowers, and Preston Dewey. All of those names were rated four stars or better by ESPN and two years later we won nine games. It was a very solid class but outside of Duke, who was really a difference maker? This class is similar. Richt, I believe, is a better game day coach but recruiting-wise, they're about the same.

Listen, I'm different from most of you cats on here. I'm a bottom line kinda dude. I'm not interested in the coastal, I'm not interested in the ACC, I want the crystal ball and the golden megaphone that we call a national championship trophy. I'm not gonna blow smoke and pretend like this class is some sort of game changer, it's not. You should not lose four out of five top sofla dbs to those c*nts in Gainesville. Just shouldn't. I understand that McFarland got paid by Maryland but you can't be put in a position where he ****es in your mouth the way he did after months of being a silent commit and not have a back up plan. OL was a good haul and you landed an elite recruit in Donaldson and nice player in Gainer. I'm not as high on Herbert as recruiting services are. I thought we did as good as we could at receiver but Devonta Smith not even giving us the decency to attend a visit was discouraging going forward. Cornerback was a need position and while I think Bandy was the best corner in south Florida, and Dean has good size and speed, you needed another guy with speed. Henderson hurts, Edwards....Not so much.

The top players in that class were great. But we signed like 33 ppl that class and 20 of them were straight trash. You need to go back and examine that class and compare it to this one or even last class. We have some top guys this class like we did in 2012, but more importantly these are all Miami guys. They are all Miami quality guys, top to bottom. And that's why golden wasn't a good recruiter here.

Florida beat us straight up with 6 out of 8 players!!!

We signed:
Kai-Leon Herbert
Navaughn Donaldson

They signed:
Shawn Davis
CJ Henderson
Marco Wilson
Brian Edwards
Elijah Conliffe
TJ Slaton

If that lousy staff can't recruit and everyone knows it.... What does that say about ours?

marco wilson was never coming here and slaton went there because they fed him lines about playing dt when everyone else wanted him on the offensive line. so it's our 2 vs their 4.

Idk why I'm doing this to myself, but is the D. Smith announcement on ESPN? If not, where?

They don't want to schedule us for a reason. They know we're going to smash them.

Please keep preaching this ****. Last seasons class was middle of the road to everybody yet had arguably the most productive group in the country and this one is universally said to be better but these females on here swear up and down that its trash smh. These newbs man

In all honesty....he didn't do that very well either. It was one of the reasons he was shown the door. See:Kirby Smart 2017 class

Yep. And when we were winning we rarely had top five classes. Our average ranking was about 10. Some of our highest ranked classes were our biggest flops. This class addresses plenty of needs with quality talent we can win with. One more CB and a healthy stud RB (Thanks McFarland!) were the big shortcomings.

@Peter Ariz -- is there any truth to the buzz that Henderson got turned off by Miami using skibby's "UF-bagman-on-video" troll to negative recruit UF?

It sounds like pure and fantastical fiction, but you've got Gator beat writers like David Waters clinging to that narrative like it's the last weiner in a pack of Hebrew Nationals.

That's why when Skibby started popping that shît off on here and some other posters started praising him, I tagged two mods, said he was causing damage and said they needed to band him. Whether he was a troll or a fan, it was trouble either way.

Tell me you don't buy that ****, RVA. Henderson, like all other local faqquits who spurn UM, try to put their traitor facquitry off on outside circumstances. They don't want the heat that should come with being a local cumbag traitor, so they invent stupid ****.

Who the fck even knows if this skippy guy is even a UM fan or what he was doing?

I agree with you that it's a convenient excuse. They were fûcking the home team either way. I don't doubt the Gayturds used it in their pitch. Doesn't matter. We never should lose guys like we did this past week when we have these opportunities. Thank God we did well with other positions not coached by Rumph.

I have no idea who or what that Skibby guy was, I just got a really bad gut feeling when he came on the board spewing shît.

UM was built on guys like Bandy, not pvssies like Henderson. Bandy is shorter and slower than Henderson, but I'd take him 100 out of 100 times over that guy.

UM's a gritty urban program built by guys like Highsmith and Bratton and Eddie Brown, not flighty flaky facquits who wear tight jeans and take a ton of selfies.
