How has your role in Miami Hurricane news and info changed with the past regime going out and the new coming in?

It's been great. Old regime was closed off for the most part, aside from a couple guys. New regime is taking the "nothing to hide" approach and that really improves the flow of information. I'm interested to see how they are once the season starts, but it's exciting because they are great with media and they have been very welcoming to me.

Football SID Tom Symonds does a great job as well.

I think being closed off was apart of the blocking out the noise.

I asked, because your activity has been off the grid lately, and I was guessing that what you stated was the case. Thanks for the hard work.

But why is AQM not a starter? Everything that has been said is he is our best player on defense?

Ehh, I don't know where you've read that. AQM can have a big year, but he has not produced anywhere near a level to call him the best player on defense. He's going to have to earn his spot back after this issue.

I disagree... AQM and Jermaine Grace are definitely top 2 in terms of talent and production on defense. Willis and Thomas not far behind but it seems like if AQM is playing then Willis would be more a threat to take Thomas's spot than his.

I love Berrios as a player, I just know it is going to be hard for him to hold off Bruce, that's all.

Berrios is as talented with the experience nobodys knocking Bruce.... but u should be glad that a true freshman cant come in and take somebodys spot like he was still in high school?

I think Trayone Gray should've been converted to a WR he's to talented to be the 4th man on a roster at RB when he could be a big play threat at WR... Only 1 or 2 RBs can see the field at a time. The WR position has more opportunity.

Either that or convince him to move to defense and play Strong Safety.

Yearby and Walton will be the top two guys once he's cleared. Gus will have a role, but Yearb and Mark were head and shoulders above Gus in spring.

Not sure what the love affair is with Berrios, he has not been productive yet. That slot position should be wide open and I'd expect Bruce to come and take that role from him.

Bruce's high school production last year was miles better than Berrios.

Cager still has work to do. Not using that body correctly just yet.

Berrios is better than Bruce at this point and if he's healthy I don't see Sam jumping him this season. That's not to say that Bruce won't have a role because they will be getting him the ball.

I'm sorry but Berrios doesn't beat Bruce in any categories besides experience and maybe possibly knowledge of the playbook, depending on when Bruce actually got his or not. Those are the only reasons why Berrios is in front as of now.

And Berrios has done so muchh...look I'm not knockinng Berrios, but Bruce has better footwork, route running, in an out ability, evasiveness, the only things Berrios can keep up with him on is Speed and Hands, where they are about equal.

A lot can be said for QB/WR rapport. It's been pretty clear Kaaya has favored working with Berrios honing their craft and Bruce just got here. Bruce will have his time to shine.

No doubt the two are buds, but their on the field chemistry leaves a bit to be desired at this point.
