Is there anyway you see us having a dominant back this year? I don't care who it is but I would rather have one dominant runner that we can rely on to get the third and shorts. I just don't know if the running back by committee is gonna work unless the line can make big improvements.

Gus Edwards and Darrion Owens were projected starters last year before getting inured, but you didn't have either in your projected starting lineup.

Do you think they eventually work their way back into the starting lineup, or Yearby and the young LB's stay in the starting lineup throughout the season?

Edwards was not going to start last year IMO..He will definitely have a role this year though.

Remains to be seen with Owens. That was a nasty injury. If he comes back at 100%, then he will be a major player no doubt in my mind.

Are there any non-traditionally Miami recruited regions that this staff will emphasize more in recruiting?

This staff wants to lock down SoFla. They aren't really prioritizing anything else until that is handled.

Yearby and Walton will be the top two guys once he's cleared. Gus will have a role, but Yearb and Mark were head and shoulders above Gus in spring.

I think Dayall Harris can have a big year. He's physically ready to play. Njoku will probably be the 2nd guy in terms of production and they will use him as a receiver a bunch.

Knowles was working with the 2nd team in spring and made some plays during scrimmages. Still out of place at times but he's an injury away from being in the rotation. I like him

Ehh, I don't know where you've read that. AQM can have a big year, but he has not produced anywhere near a level to call him the best player on defense. He's going to have to earn his spot back after this issue.

How has your role in Miami Hurricane news and info changed with the past regime going out and the new coming in?

It's been great. Old regime was closed off for the most part, aside from a couple guys. New regime is taking the "nothing to hide" approach and that really improves the flow of information. I'm interested to see how they are once the season starts, but it's exciting because they are great with media and they have been very welcoming to me.

Football SID Tom Symonds does a great job as well.

If I had to pick one, I'd say Yearby could be the dominant back this year. Walton had a great spring too but obviously his status is up in the air.
