The Miami Hurricanes WILL win a national Championship with Al Golden at head coach.

Notice the question does not ask if he CAN, only if he WILL.

I don't need to be anonymous. I voted "no".

Golden is building a very solid foundation IMO. But, I haven't seen one thing on game days that would make me believe he can get us to the MNC.
 
I believe if C.Thomas, Berrios, Yearby, Grace, Coley, Gus, Young, Owens, Kirby, Guyot, Hester, Darling, Kayaa, Olsen, Tucker, Lewis, Jenkins, McDermott, Gadbois, Harris, D.Jackson, Burns, Bush, Aqm, and crew wants it bad enough, it will get done!

Yes. There is a good influx of kids coming in. Keep recruiting like he is and things will begin to turn. Remember, the deck wasn't stacked with talent when he got here. People hated Butch as a gameday coach. Just saying...

I agree, but it will be the next coach that leads them. Al's clings to assistants that don't cut it for the sake of continuity, regardless of the continued failures. The good ones he has get stolen.

I wouldn't expect them to win a national championship in any of our lifetimes, regardless of who the coach is.

Hes got a good foundation but he can't coach his way out of a wet paper bag. He won't even win the ACC let alone a national championship.
 
Our brand is so strong that if we can get back in he mix, the floodgates will open. The question for me is if Golden can get us back in that top 5-10. If he can, we'll win another national championship in the following years. Kids have an intuitive way to know who is the up and coming program.

This is interesting -- people really hate on Al Golden, but I think his biggest weakness so far has been recruiting (whether it be the cloud or money or whatever, the point stands). If he can improve his recruiting I think he has a chance -- but improving means landing guys like Cook, Ridley and SBB in addition to Irvin and Johnson. There is a world of talent in Miami and we need more of it to stay home before anybody can win a title here.
 
Is this a serious question? You do realize in eight years of coaching, this clown has never won a bowl game, right? Lets try that first before we even discuss championships. ****, lets try winning the coastal division. I'll settle for that.
