I just don't understand these 3rd and short play calls where you leave the DE uncovered. They've playing run blitz and Mallory has zero chance of getting to that DE. Not his fault. Bad play call.

The last drive ended on 4th down with an extra defender blitzing from the edge.

His short yardage play calling is terrible regardless of where we are on the field.
