Canes vs Gators Elimination game

Its the football board mopes loser mentality all over gain and its seeped into the baseball posts. Some of these so called Canes fans are some serious loser pieces of ****. Your lives must be so terrible. Not talking about anybody specific its just an observation from reading these boards the last few years.

the gators may be shell shocked right now. they went from everyones favorite to elimination game against a rival in 3 short hours, if we can jump on them early like last game, we have a shot

Its absolutely imperative we score early. We hit well in 1st game vs them. Its clutch hitting that makes the difference.

Right, because it's so much fun having an athletic director who shows no desire to win anything. The two biggest failures in Hecht both received extensions.

As for our "lives", my life is wonderful. Hope yours is too. If you'll notice, the group of fans who continually make this personal are on your side. I will blast Jim Morris and the way he has let this program slide until the day he is gone. Your response is to call me a piece of ****. Myself, 88, Smokey, etc., might be anti-Morris and anti-James, but we aren't the ones making it personal. That's what you and CTCANE do, in your apparently perfect lives.

Whoa, champ, easy with this "every year" stuff. Right now we are on the "once every seven years" plan for making it to Omaha, and the "once every 15 years" plan for actually competing for a national championship.

Another fan who hit the refresh button and forgot that 2009-2014 even happened.

I do believe you need to be more positive about the teams "current" run...however I do agree with what you're saying about our 6 year run of mediocrity. If the football team only made the football playoffs every 6 years I know for a fact people would not be satisfied with that as a goal. It shouldn't take longer than a half decade to accomplish that with either baseball or football. Basketball is a sport where we don't have a long standing tradition and thus I can see us being content with a elite 8 appearance every 6 years. But we're talking about football and baseball here, the university of Miami has some serious tradition with those two sports. Enjoy the teams run right now and be happy to watch them where they're at because you just don't know how long it's going to take to see us here again.

That hurts me. Every single morning I wake up wanting to be the fan you want me to be. How did you learn the art of being a true fan? Are there books or did you just do a Google search? Any piece of advice you'd be willing to offer would be greatly appreciated. I clearly can't continue down this path if you are unimpressed with me as a legitimate badass.

I would prefer to enjoy the situation the team is in currently then cry in every post how bad our athletic department is. You are one of the people that would want Nick Saban fired because they haven't won the national championship in a couple yrs.

Name some realistic coaches that would do so much better than Morris?
 
What an awful argument. When Nick Saban can't crack the top ten for six straight years at a traditional powerhouse, rest assured that many people will be complaining.

You want a realistic coach who could do better than Morris? Just go down the list of coaches that won at least one Super Regional game from 2009-2014. Pick any one of those guys.

In fairness, I think there is a distinction between your posting style and the ones stirring up a lot of the ****. Being quick to point out problems that repeat themselves during a game, and being a parrot repeating **** about everything from Golden to Shalala to the Administration are two different scenarios. The team is in the College World Series -- pointing out past failures repeating themselves is entirely appropriate and should be expected. You may take it to a different level in response to being called out. Others are trolling like they do on the football board intentionally turning every conversation negative toward Miami and the athletic department, many times being either wrong, unreasonable or ill-timed. Even when they are accurate, most of the time that conversation is irrelevant to the game being played at the time.

I am very excited for this team as well. I never said that I wasn't. Being upset that we apparently signed a contract stating that our season would end at the hands of Florida every post-season doesn't mean I'm "less of fan" or that I'm not happy for this team and these kids. It means that I'm sick and tired of losing important games to Florida. And when we lose to them tomorrow, I'll still be sick and tired of it.

I said before game 1 that we are overdue, having lost like the last 12 post season games against the Gatas.

I was wrong. Don't think we ever beat them again

How do you know that Blake James has no desire to win anything? You are a complete idiot. NO AD would have fired Morris none. Only a complete jackass like you would. You are definitely a miserable person.
