Canes Commits/Targets HS Season Thread: 2016-2017

@Geo305, I agree 100%
I think Lingard is the best back in the state, 2017 back's included.
He's program changer.... A definite must get.

Whats are chances with Lingard?
Well, after Paradise he had us as his #1, but as of recently he told SOTU that Bama, FSU & a few other schools are up at the top.
So, like most of the elite prospects we're after, it'll be a fight between us & Bama, but he did say he really likes the staff and will be visiting Miami again sometime during the season.

Steed was giving the OT #51 the business all night. Check out what he did to him on the second play of the video. He also slammed him later on in the video but you can't get a good view of it because other players were in the way. I give him a B- maybe a B on his performance. He didn't get to play in the second half because of the blow out but I know he always gets better throughout the season. I always preach to him that every game should be better than the last. Loved seeing him in pursuit outside the box and his aggression taking on would be blockers. I just wish I could have seen his progression in the second half.

Steed seems to have that quick diagnosis. I see his game similar to Mike Pinkney's which goes good with the crop we have already. Steed looks faster than I thought. Who is that other backer with him? Kid looks big and rangy as well.

Love the #31 as well....looks very similar to another, quick twitch, quick diagnoses backer in Sean Spence.

Forest High School - N'Kosi Perry highlights - Hudl

Perry was Lights out. #8 is a disservice to this young mans skills.

N'Kosi Perry stands tall in the pocket. Delivers what looks like an effortless ball to his receivers. Brad looked the same way. Kid sets his feet before he throws every time. Good looking prospect here. Will rise as Brad Kaaya did. At one point Brad wasn't a 4 star or really ranked. He finished top 10 in QB rankings. I expect the same from Perry.

I think the other LB you were talking about was Cornell Jones - Hudl

What's he weighing right now?

Gables up 6-0 on Carol City. 2018 RB Jon "Johnny" Ford had a 50 yard run then gables QB punched it in.

Carol City has Nayquan Wright playing wildcat. They're having trouble finding a QB.
