Canes Commits/Targets HS Season Thread: 2016-2017

@ AHS-Northwestern game, Tyson Campbell is playing CB tonight, Atwell didn't look his way in the 1st half. Chatfield is dominant as usual & Anthony Schwartz is FAST!!!

Is Schwartz the wr for AH? Burns is pretty fast himself, legit track speed. But the speed that Schwartz kid showed, WOW. He was separating from him. Heard the AH kid ran a 10.2 100m and he is an underclassmen. I dont follow recruiting as closely but surprised I never heard of him.

Yup that's him. I don't know if he's a Plan A kid but we should definitely keep tabs on him, there isn't a defense out there that that kid can't blow the top off of...

I've had him in my database for a while. He's very good track but extremely raw in football. This is his first year really playing full time. Anthony Schwartz.

According to the FHSAA site he ran a hand timed 10.26sec last spring. Link below, wow that is moving (hand timed or not).

He has some time to develop, Wonder if he should stick to track tho, 10.2 sounds Olympic worthy in all honesty.

10.26 is insane for soph in high school. Think of any of the fastest canes in the last few years and as high school seniors they were probably more near 10.5-10.7, guys like Benjamin, Dorsett, Miller. Sounds like he is more of a track kid dabbling in football but that is the type of speed we need on roster.

Forget the hand timed stuff, what's his best legit track time?
10.2 hand time just means it's more like 10.3 elentronic. Which is still blazing

That's right, 10.26 hand timed 10.37 electronic. Both times were clocked as a 10th grader. Either way, that's the trajectory of a guy who's a sub 10 second 100m runner in the near future.

Geo305 Didn't see this kid when using the search function:

Roy Livingston, 2018 WR from MNW. Beat both Surtain and Campbell for TDs, where he showed very good ball skills. Deep threat who does a good job of tracking the ball. Makes a lot of tough catches in traffic. Physical blocker. On his highlights he throws Josh Jobe to floor. Also plays FS.

That kid is a ballplayer. He absolutely smoked Surtain, who definitely didn't look like the #1 2018 CB in America last night. Livingston had simultaneous possession with Campbell on a fade route and kept him from snatching it away to bring the West within 2. Atwell went back to him but there ain't no beating Ty twice in a row. Either way, kid was Atwell's main man through the air during MNW's comeback and he definitely showed me some City Boy heart out there.

Livingstone went up top on both dbs.

Looks like MNW dbs let em down...

The Schwartz KID played last year as like the 4th wr on AHs roster...never stood out or anything to me.

My guy from this week...

Not to much highlights but just a show.
