Canes Camp Report: Day 8

I think Duke is going to put on a **** of a show this season. Lousiville dont even know whats coming! []_[]

If they pull that dancing around the line of scrimmage and we have a brain working of offense, go with quick snap and give Duke the ball. He will put an end to that crap quickly. Duke keeps us in every game with last years defense. If D is any better at all, Duke and decent QB play gives us shot to win EVERY game this year. That and decent coaching, gets us to the NC playoffs.

Kaaya climbs the pocket like Luck or Brady. Anyone who knows Qbs knows that pocket presence can't be taught, it's innate and he has it.

It's also nice to see the front 7 playing on the other side of the LOS. Perryman is well on his way to being an AA.

It's been said a ton, but Crawford looks and plays with that edge of our championship teams.

YES he does kid steps up when the pocket collapses unlike heaps who will panic and fall down on the ball

Heaps does slide into that defender and misses a wide open Warlord down the seam on that sack @ 10:12 in. One play, though.

Duke Johnson is going make people look silly this year.

That run by Gray, oh my.

Denzel is going be one active **** in this defense.

Kaaya bootleg to Walford!!!!

I like how Dallas says they're communicating more, last yr I noticed that wasn't happening, like he said that has gotten better.

They were confused as **** last year. the UNC game tells it all. it was bad.

Safties and MLB's run the show on defense... Both were weak last year...

DP and Duke are old news -- play of Sunday. DC is huge plus. Kid could be biggest surprise of year. Kaaya is showing pocket awareness and movement that we have not seen in over a decade. Kid will take us to 6th NC and maybe 3rd Heisman. I still think Al starts Heaps, just not sure Kaaya can be kept on bench whole year. I think the kid might starter by criminole game; he just looks way to good. He has beautiful touch over defenders on over the middle passes--that is just deadly for the other side. Wyche definitely needs conditioning. Might not be a factor in early games. I thought we'd redshirt Chocolate, but now I doubt that. Joe looks like he is still healing some, so my CC kid might end up Duke's first backup in the early going, unless Gus gets behind those pads.

I hope DP doesn't get in doghouse about all those behind the line of scrimmage plays; I am fairly sure those are not in the scheme.

Don't mean to be a Debbie downer but all those completions look very similar how all the teams threw the ball against us last year. The flares and slants look like we can't seem to cover. Does anyone know if the defense has been dominating the offense or vice Versa? That should tell us how good our defense is going to be. By the way Kayaa should be our QB

Big year for Duke. Going to make defensives look foolish.

RIP to Brady with Dallas laying down the hammer on the goal line.

Heurtelou was looking disruptive on the line... What's up with that? I guess at 6'3" 315 he should!

Anxious to hear what the coaches thought, particularly QB battle. Duke's cutback is just sick, can't wait to have him back on the field, lost in the Dallas forced fumble highlight is a great throw from Kayaa to TB. Curious how the other LBs did outside of DP, we need a couple of those guys to take a major step forward this year, Kirby, Grace, etc.

Dallas is a little limited athletically, but his brain and toughness will be a huge upgrade over what we had last year at Safety. He's a natural leader and will be the QB of the defense.

Scaryman is going to have a monster year. It'll be reminiscent of Nate Webster and Dan Morgan at their peak.

Frankengacki needs to do a better job of selling the company line. The way he kept hammering the same line about the defense looking great smacked of propaganda. UM gave him his marching orders regarding what he needed to tell the masses, but he made it too obvious.
